22oz bottle from Sprouts. Orange thick foam, could smell the grassy hops as I poured. Remarkably clear, bubbles continued up from bottom of pint glass. Upon initial taste, extremely bitter...real bitter..I had a similar experience with a Lagunitas, I believe it was Lagunitas. It may be due to flower hops...but i have no idea if either uses flowers. So I set it aside to let it breath...what a paradigm shift in flavor. Big melon grassy hop flavor with a slight nutty malt backbone. Certainly an archetype for an Imperial IPA.

On tap at Oceanside Ale Works, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, herbal hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with lots of dank, herbal hops and dry biscuity malt. Nicely balanced, with a good herbal hop character. Very good.

Bomber from K&B. Hazy medium amber with some sediment floating around. Sweet nose with some pungent hop character. Sweet and malty. Not all that hoppy. Not a great 2IPA, but more of a malty strong ale.

Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has light crispness. Thin malts. Light estery sweetness. A little orange peel. Apricot! Mellow marmalade. Airy finish. It’s on okay beer but I would have never guessed this was a DIPA blind. Where are the hops? Hardly any here at all. Lame lame DIPA.

Full bodied as advertise poured in sniffer and the head was pretty much non existent after a few moments. High alcohol pretty well hidden. taste of ripened fruit just the right amount of bitterness. Finish is better then the start.

Pours a thin head on a hazy dark straw body. The aroma is ripe dark fruits. The taste starts with fruit sweetness, then boozy sweet and finishes with a mild bitter note. The texture is thicker. A bit sweet for me but fine.

(En fût à la brasserie): Une légère invasion de diacétyl en entrée et une avalanche d’agrumes immédiatement ensuite. Des phénols et autres esters ferreux n’aident en rien la présence d’alcool. Décevant.

The ONLY good things about this beer were that A. It looked great in the glass with a large very long lived head and decent lacing and B. I got this on sale for $3 a bomber. The rest is all down hill. It smelled like flowers and old cereal. Tasted like sucking on a flower petal. Was watery with a way too dry long bitter finish almost like aspirin. Slammed a couple big mouthfuls followed by a shot of Fireball to kill the taste. The rest was DRAIN POUR!

Copper. Citrus and sweet malt. Not a lot going on here. Decent. (Draught in tasting room)

Ruddy orange with a huge head like sponge cake that takes a very long time to reduce. Smell is tangy and subtle. Ale is rich and spicy with a citrusy malt backbone. Palate is slightly flat.

From the bomber this is the ex-pa not an ipa and I could tell, not a lot of spices but really strong and chunky like a bread dumpling covered in gravy that gives you a buzz.
