Taste of strong dark roasted malt, coffee, wood, bourbon, roasted coffee, some chocolate, full body, awesome! Erzengel (9629) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUL 24, 2017
Many thanks to nimbleprop for this 75cl bottle. Great deep nose of roast, plums, brown sugar and wood. The beer starts intense woody. Lots of woody bourbon, brown sugar and dry caramel. Viscous, rich, dark dried fruits - plums, black cherries and a nice woody bourbon aroma on top. Moderate bitterness, quite dry and great round an deep. Fantastic! Sampler at taproom. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Lots of bourbon on the nose. Nice balance of bourbon and chocolate on the tongue. Hides it’s booze well. Finished clean. nimbleprop (8830) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 7, 2017
750ml bottle pours a nearly opaque black with some clumpy, lacing beige head. Nose has molasses, burnt caramel, vanilla, some toasted coconut, some booze, raisin, bread. Flavor has a lot of burnt stuff, char, burnt caramel, burnt toast, booze, molasses, black licorice. Finishes sweet and full bodied. Drake (14110) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 6, 2016

Draft at Ocelot on 6/25/16. Deep brown with small lite tan head. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, roast, coffee grounds. Big and awesome. Huhzubendah (3767) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 6, 2016
Near black body with a beige cap. Lots of oak and booze in the aroma. Aggressive bourbon character leads the way, followed by some chocolate and earthy tones. Pretty good. Could use some nuance and grace to counter the boozy assault. Travlr (26288) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 1, 2016
Draft at Meridian Pint during Savor Week. Opaque dark brown color, brown head. Aroma has burnt espresso and vanilla. Taste has more vanilla, dark chocolate, dark coffee. Very tasty. jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - MAY 29, 2016
From a snifter at Ocelot. Very dark brown with beige bubbles. Roasty, oaky nose with a pleasant twinge of alcohol. Flavor has notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel, bourbon (vanilla, oak, light smokiness) and an earthy hop character. Very pleasant sweetness level with all flavors dancing nicely together. Never gets too boozy/clumsy. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and subtle carbonation. Another winner from Ocelot. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - MAY 28, 2016
