1l bottle bought at a Russian store in Zagreb, shared by a friend (thanks Morko!)
Poured a yellow-golden body with a small head that went away fast. Weak dry papery malty nose. Weak cardboardy malty taste, notes of apple, very weak yoghurt. Watery and crap but as it’s seemingly without adjuncts, better than the Original. Might be overrating both a little.

Standard lager beer, sweetish body with mild taste of grain. Refreshing, but not interesting.

2L plastic bottle from a Russian Deli in Landstuhl. Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a golden yellow. Aromas of corn and grains with a touch of hops. Flavor is bland, grainy taste.

Hazy golden. Some spice in the aroma. No bitterness. Rating from one month old notes I am hard to tell why I liked this one...

Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2004
Medium yellow with a quickly fading head. Malts were only mildly sweet and reminiscent of multi-grain bread. Hops actually provided a little bitterness, and had notes of herbs and mild flowers. More flavor and more bitterness than the other two I had from Ochakovo. Still, it had an underlying similarity that was undeniable ... and it was kind of boring.

PET 1.5L bottle. Aroma of bread, grains, some citrus. Light to medium body. Thin texture. Average carbination. The taste is lightly sweet & bitter. Hoppy finish & aftertaste. Not bad.

Nothing really inherantly wrong with this beer, if you keep it in the context of a lawnmower beer (which was exaclty the case when drinking it). Aroma was slightly metallic, a little sweet, not much skunk and a bit of chlorine. Appearance was dark gold in color, slightly hazy with a small sized head which dissapated quickly enough for me to pour my whole beer in my glass in one shot. Mouthfeel was light and crisp, not harsh by any stretch of the imagination, but it wasn’t anything most lagers have. Flavor was a little sweet, also a little metallic but really not bad. It went down smoothly and quenched the thirst and I didn’t wonder if I’d just drank a bottle of toxic waste like some Euro lagers I’ve had in the past.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottle 2,0 liters. Light and much fading head. Limpid yellow color, watery and little fizzy one. Simple scent with fresh grassy and light malty notes. Medium taste, much traditional one and without peculiarity. Medium fizz, discreet alcoholic tenor, moderate bitter, watery final. Altogether satisfactory even if nothing of special.

miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - JUN 18, 2014
Bona cervesa, equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, equilibrada y sabrosa.

Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 6, 2005
Gold. Clean nose with light grainy malts floral, herbaceous hops along with a hint of apples. The beer is slightly sweet a touch skunky with a providing yet light hop character, which actually gives some bitterness, aroma and floral/herbaceous flavor. Clean, grainy malts. Light body. A pretty damn good pale lager. Very enjoyable on an 85 F day in Colorado.
