Spyhop White IPA is our interpretation of a Belgian inspired white ale infused with an abundance of hops. Spyhop is the term used to describe when a whale pops its head out of the water for a better view above the surface. You will immediately spy this beer’s hops in its tempting aroma, followed by a light yet complex mouthful of coriander, chamomile, grapefruit and of course - more hops.

From the tap poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Bitter hoppy flavor with a lasting finish.

Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Downtown. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Lots of bubbles along the sides of the glass. Aroma is light citrus, bread, mango. Flavor is citrus including orange peel and lemon zest - very much the white rind of an orange or lemon. That’s it. Not much to this.

appearance: hazy medium gold, with a ton of floaties if swirled before pouring; fizzy white head. aroma: lemon, lime, bubblegum, mango, peach, pepper. taste: bitter citrus, candied lemon peel, light pineapple, hint of mint and floral honey. finish: lingering juicy hop bitterness, some coriander and pepper. notes: Not bad. Not terribly memorable either.

Coriander, lemon zest, spearmint, yeast nose. Hazy yellow, medium head, floating sediment, nice glass adherence. Lemon zest, mildly minty, fairly dry and bitter. Light body, moderate carbonation. I like white IPAs. I don’t care what anyone else says.

12oz bottle from Reid’s Market. Tropical aromas, pineapple, light banana, some bubble gum. Mostly clear with a bit of suspended lees, orange-gold with a fairly lasting white head. Pretty dry, fruity, floral. Medium bodied.

Tap @ Jack Brown’s. Straw with thin write thread and decent lacing. Pithy aroma, but light. Coriander, dry. Not quite crisp.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy yellow color, small white head. Medium floral aroma. Medium body with a sweet hops flavor and a crisp finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I like this IPA! I’ve been getting tired of the strictly grapefruit flavor of ipa’s lately. This has some bitterness, but more floral notes. Clear dark Amber. Good lacing.
