12oz bottle shared by dmac! Thanks bro. Pours a dark brown/black color with a small foamy khaki colored head. Aroma of light citrus, pine, and roasted malts. Taste of black malts, pine, light citrus, and caramel. edgallow (4146) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 20, 2014
12 oz bottle pours black with a off white head. Aroma of malts, citrus and pine. Taste is citrus and malts. MrBunn (2807) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Bottle. Black/brown body with a big sudsy tan head and aromas of grain dust (seems to be an Odd Side calling card on their bottled beers), light roasted malt and resin. I’m not pulling a lot of the tropical "Citra-esque" aromas I expected. Flavor is nice and crisp... a very solid Black IPA... lots of dark malt with a very nice hops presence to balance against it. It doesn’t seem like Citra in the flavor either, but whatever... it’s a good resiny BIPA. wmubronco1992 (709) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - NOV 21, 2014
Bottle. Pours dark brown. Big fruity hop aroma. Small off white head. Flavor is mildly bitter, but more fruit and with a bit of roast. Very pleasant. Really enjoyed the touch of dark roast on the end of this. Would definitely drink again. Dogbrick (12912) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2014
This brew pours a brownish-black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, piney hops and fruit. The finish is roasty up front with a resiny hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Black Citra pours a dark burgundy brown with a decent tan brown head that lasts a good while. The aroma is roasty, caramel and citrus. The flavor is heavy on the roasted malts initially with some citrus that eventually shine through. Overall this is a pretty nice beer, UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - OCT 14, 2014
bottle from september, dark pour, light khaki head. nlseis strong of dank pine, cat piss, and oranges. taste follows with mild espresso, wavering bitterness. medium body. Lutz2jm (277) - North Carolina, USA - OCT 1, 2014
Interesting wave of flavors in this beer. Malty start chocolate middle and hoppy finish. I really enjoy the diversity in flavors in this one. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 30, 2014
Shared bottle, poured in shaker. Black. Quick fading head. Fruity nose for a black beer. Nothing noteworthy or offputting on taste or palate. Not really hoppy. Roast malt subtle. Okay beer. dinkle50 (1465) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Black pour with slight reddish hints around the edges. Thin espresso head fades quick. Tropical fruit aroma. Sweet with hints of coffee and roast. Medium mouth. Really bitter with lots of roasted notes. Lace present. Hints of tropical fruit in the taste. Everything kind of gets lost in that extreme roasted bitterness. Not a bad thing, it tastes good, just not overly balanced.
