Can at RBSG. Pours a golden orange with a slight haze. Aroma is citra for sure and a little deeper sweetness from the bourbon barrel. Sweet, tangy, and tart citrus flavors and a self-perceived mellowness from the barrel. Adds a woody character. Interesting and overall good. blueshockey24 (626) - Colorado, USA - JAN 8, 2017
Bottle. Pours Orangish copper with offwhite head. Aroma is sweet hoppy with hints of sweet bourbon. Taste is bourbon hops up front with a sweet and tart bourbon hoppy finish. Pretty good and pretty interesting. I like it. Johnsense (1734) - - JAN 22, 2016
Forgot I had this in the fridge. Golden pour, large head. Catty citra hopping, pine resin, wood, whisky aroma. Dank, pine and lemon bitterness giving way to wood, molasses sweetness, lighter whisky notes while drinking this. Medium body. Unique. malkyore (377) - - DEC 10, 2015
Good! Citra pale ale is great and this is like that but slightly less fresh and a little more.... I dunno.... Oaky... Like it’s difficult to pick out but it’s there. I enjoy it. At first taste it’s completely different, but then later it grows more similar. Krej (224) - USA - DEC 10, 2015
Very good. I think I like the plain CPA better but that doesn’t stop this one from being good.

Smells great with a hint of oak and citrus. Dark Amber with one finger head that dissipates quickly. Thick mouth feel. Molasses and pine with malt finish. Thick mouth feel. Good but missing something. A little boozy. Solid beer though. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange with white head, aroma brought notes of salt earth, grass, some oak, caramel toffee, some hints of bug spray as well. Taste is a mix of grass, dry oak, vanilla, bread, hints of lemon, touch of caramel, finishing sweet, slightly dry, bitter. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2014
12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden orange with a medium white head that quickly fades into a ring around the glass. Aroma of bourbon and citra hops. Some oak, some grapefruit, pine, sweat, and cat aromas. Flavor is woody, salty, with bourbon sweetness and still surprisingly viable hop bitterness. Medium bitterness. This is kind of a funky idea but I haven’t gone wrong with Odd Side. djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head. The aroma is citrus, resin, and oak. Thin mouthfeel with nice citra, dry hop, light bitterness. Very good. wchesser (2121) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Trade extra from FlandersNed-thanks, Steve! Copper orange. Nose is light vanilla, orange hops, caramel. Taste follows with some soft oak, light vanilla and bourbon. Good, but as with just about every barrel aged IPA/pale ale, what’s the point?
