Aged in white wine barrels which definitely has imparted it’s flavor. Sweet and mellow. Very good. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Tap at The Oak. Hazy light orange pour with a small foamy head that fades to a ring. Aroma is very fruity with lots of Belgian yeast, clove, honey, and light banana. Tastes like a mix of fruity red wine with Belgian yeast and spices. It’s decent but grows very tiresome by the end of the glass. A bit on the sweet side as well. Medium to full body. Overall it’s not bad but nothing I’d drink again. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Tap: I was pretty plastered when I tried this & didn’t take very good notes, so much of this is from memory. Typical tripel appearance; cloudy, murky yellow-amber with a somewhat foamy white head. Aroma is a clash of Belgian yeast, wheat, & moderate wine barrel notes. Clove gum, wheat, coriander, grain, vinous oak, light red grape, hint of tartness, faint must, dough, & some earthy esters. Similar taste with the spiciness of the Belgian yeast, clove, & coriander bumping alongside the mildly vinous wine notes. A little bit of red grape tartness, the oak kind of backs off into a secondary role. Mostly tripel finish with yeast, dough, baked bread, wheat, clove, & Belgian yeast; perhaps a bit more dryness with only a kiss of grape skin & red wine. I remember liking it at first, but I did note that the alcohol sting & some phenolic notes got a little tiring by the end of the glass. Overall, not a bad offering. Sampled at GTMW 2014 and the brewpub. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, strong wine and syrupy fruit notes. Flavor is sweet with some bitter barrel notes. Some tannic notes as well. Medium bodied, some boozy notes. Finish is with some spirit notes. Interesting. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 9, 2014
Taster on tap at GTMW. Hazy orange color. Pours kind of foamy, with a bigger off-white head, that retains well and leaves good lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More slick texture. Belgian candy sugar and yeast, syrup, some pineapple citrus, light tannic woody notes. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, a bit too sweet for me. Light bitter, light alcohol warmth in the finish. Alright, kind of citrus-rindy belgian tripel. Big and heavy.

Sampled on tap at brewery. Nice winey nose, oak, acid. Fruity and sweet. Pale amber hazy with white head. Medium body with low-medium carbonation. Smooth and warming. Beautiful bouquet and taste. Light sweet tripel notes overpowered by great white wine acidity and oaky notes. Tart and smooth with vinuous finish and tart crisp after. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Had on tap at their taproom in Grand Haven. Pours a hazy yellow. Very carbonated. Lots of white wine. Too much. Not pleasant. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - AUG 1, 2014
On tap at Blackthorn Pub, Holly,MI...very unique and vinous Tripel that is darker in color than most and had a deep, fruity character that is very appealing. Outstanding. arminjewell (9688) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 29, 2014
Pour on tap at One Eyed Bettys, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of white fruit, orange, white grape, hints of oak, vanilla, touch of booze. Taste is a mix of white grape, tripel yeast spice notes, some brea, biscuit, touch of banana, hints of coriander and clove into a bit of grain, more spice, finishing fairly sweet. darb85 (288) - Canton, Michigan, USA - JUL 28, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2014 Pretty good. Merlot cab sauv finish. Sweet with thicker mouth feel. Doesn?t feel like a heavy abv beer.
