Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Grand Haven, MI). Pours a decent hazed yellow gold hue. A bit dulled, lively carbonation with frothy whitish head atop. Decent ring and lacing in small form factor. Aromas are a bit bitter, earthy hops with some florals, a bit of berry and mellow citrus. Some mellow bready malt, some gentle bitterness firm grapefruit and lemon. Initial is firmly bitter, citrusy grapefruit takes over, some lemon, florals. Nice citrus element grows, mellow spiciness. Middle is a touch bready, dry straw and grain meet decent bitterness. Citrus rind, touches of bread and straw. Backend is dry, a nice bitterness kiwi, grapefruit, and lemon. Some nice florals, bitterness. A bit bready, some crisp malts and clean bitterness trail out. Solid Session IPA. I though their Simcoe one was a touch better due to that hop profile but this is nice. BrownALEx (459) - Portland, Michigan, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Very good session IPA. Great hop aroma. Great hop taste. Very drinkable. If I saw it in the store I would buy it. Welcome to the Odd Side. MrBunn (2838) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Growler from Odd Side. Pours a fairly fizzy headed light gold with just a hint of haze. Aromas are faintly tropical with a little dusty grain. Flavor is pretty nice for the style. Quite a bit of melon or something from the hops, but it has just a touch of papaya to it. The hops isn’t a blast of hops, but rather a nice presence that balances nicely. Decent.
