This time, a bottle from my Buddy...Trent!
It’s a hazy honey coloured brew that sits under a +1 finger of billowy foam.
In the smell, I get biscuit malt mixed with a citrusy grassy hop aroma.
The taste brings me biscuit malt and a citrus turning to, in the finish, a sort of quinine bitterness. Very sharp bitterness. I can’t say I get any pineapple.
Medium body and carbonation.
This is an unusual IPA and one that I like. crossovert (12927) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Draft. Good pineapple flavor in this one, expecting a bit more of the hops it comes off as more of a fruit beer than an ipa. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - AUG 8, 2014
Bottle. Deep golden/orange body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, citrus, toasted grain, tropical fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, slick, pineapple juice texture, soft carbonation. Drinkable for a novelty beer. Pineapple sweetness and bitter hops work find together, the pineapple accentuating the citrus character of the hops. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Piney and slight citrus hops with some slight bubblegum flavor and peppery finish. Not really tasting much pineapple, but not a bad beer. Sammy (12201) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2014
Recent bottle from Champane Cellars. More ipa than grapefruit, which is tasted only in the finish. Cloudy orange with lots of lace and head. Drinkable and bitter, not the best base IPA.

Pours a clear copper color. Aroma and taste are pineapple and some malts. Lightly sweet with a bitter finish. flatmatt (1576) - Northville, Michigan, USA - JUL 20, 2014
12 oz bottle as just "Pineapple IPA." Pours a hazy orange amber with an off-white head. Citrus, tropical fruit, and a bit of pine in the aroma. Flavor is similar, citrus and tropical fruit, but ties in more pine resin. It’s a fairly well-done beer, really. Nephilium (1818) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 11, 2014
The aroma is an intriguing blend of piney hops and pineapple. The beer pours a clear amber with just a faint dusting of head. Initial presentation is pineapple, which gets quickly overridden by the bitter hops, and comes back for a bit in the finish. A nice solid IPA that has some interesting notes added from the pineapple. milewide (2249) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUL 9, 2014
Fine IPA aroma and taste, but not much contribution from pineapple. 12 ounce bottle simply called Pineapple IPA. fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle, pours an orangey amber. Slight fruit aroma. Taste is bitter earthy hops with fruit and sweet caramel malt. Pretty drinkable.
