Tasted from bottle. Pours black with off white head. Huge maple syrup aroma with caramel, coffee and chocolate. Taste is moderate to heavily sweet. You get lots of sweet molasses and maple syrup with some smoked meats. Some cocoa and coffee. Very well done imperial stout.

this impy had a very dark, black pour with a very little light tan and tan bubbles for a cover, the bubbles dissipated quickly to a small ring,
it left small spots of lacing on the glass that rolled off, there was some dark brown sediment in the bottle,
this beer had a nose of roasted malt, dark chocolate and bakers chocolate up front, dark and /or intense coffee with roasted malt astringency that gave a little bitterness (but this did not take away from enjoying the drink), and molasses, faint bourbon with a hint of liquor caramel notes,
a little maple syrup was noticed as it warmed up,
the flavors were chocolate and roasted malt with coffee, molasses, some bourbon and a little caramel,
there was faint maple syrup that was more noticeable in the flavor than on the nose, some sweetness that was bigger than in the aroma, and a little roasted malt astringency that lingered a bit on the tongue, the bourbon barrel and maple syrup became more noticeable as the beer warmed up,
the mouth feel was medium to full, it was creamy and had soft to average carbonation,
this beer had a good roasted malt and dark chocolate nose, the flavor was pretty much the same with maple syrup and more sweetness than what was noticed on the nose,
this was a great roasted malt and chocolate imperial stout, a great beer for sipping on a cold Winter evening,
I did not notice any bacon on the nose or in the flavor, but still a good drink.
Bottle. Black pour with a light beige head. Aroma is sweet chocolate and dark fruit, hint of maple syrup. Taste is sweet chocolate and coffee, some dark fruit notes. JStax (7242) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2017
Bottle shared at muckfest by jabier. The beer is a black color with a khaki head of foam. Sweet beer with smoky and candy notes. Very sweet overall. Big body and medium carbonation. phaleslu (10750) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 17, 2017
Crowler from Mark - thanks again, Mark! Pours a pretty much opaque coffee brown, deep and dark, with a small tan head that fades quickly into just a ring. Big maple and coffee here, with the bacon smoke just sort of light and lingering in the background. Vanilla and chocolate, roasted malts, earth, charred oak, toasted brown sugar, and subtle warming bourbon throughout. This is mostly about the maple and coffee, though. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a sweet, roasty mouthfeel that sticks to the palate at the end and lingers. Decadent stuff. Really nice.

Bottle poured into a snifter showing pitch black with sparse white foam. ineedbeer (2270) - Oakland, California, USA - MAR 1, 2017
The nose shows sweet maple syrup and light savory bacon.
The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Highly sweet flavors of maple syrup with a dark chocolate bitterness on the finish. Slightly one dimensional but delicious.

Aroma is rich with lots of dark chocolate and maple notes. Lighter roast notes with hints of bacon and bourbon. Some light alcohol notes. Bacon adds a light meatiness to the aroma. Some light dark fruit notes.
Pours black with a medium sized, thick, creamy, dark mocha head that shows decent retention as it recedes to a faint film that lingers in the center and on the edges. No lacing and moderate length legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate notes. Medium light roast and coffee with a medium light maple syrup note that becomes a bit more pronounced in the finish. Medium bitterness. Light bourbon and faint oak notes. Hints of dark fruit. Bacon is not noticeable, but there is a slight meatiness to the roast note.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a pretty decent breakfast stout with a surprisingly large amount of maple character. The bacon was subtle which was nice. Coffee was perhaps a bit too subtle as was the barrel conditioning.
I’m becoming a huge fan of OddSide Ales. The aroma is coffee, maple and some bourbon. Pours dark brown with tan head fully diminishing. The taste is bitter at first then some sweetness. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish sweet and long. A little sweet but damn good!! weihenweizen (4171) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 16, 2017

Black color, brownish head. Wonderful aroma, dark maple, bourbon, boutique coffee, charred wood. Good body strength, sweet but not syrupy, very good malt depth, with dark caramel, chocolate, then the coffee, then maple and bourbon, hints of smoke. Slight burn in the final.
