Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-hazy mahogany color with a sly transparency about it. Ample white foamy head fell off at a decent pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some dried earthy to grassy hops blending with a nice toffee/caramel malt base. Light butterscotch. Touch of leather. Slight bitter piney-ness at the end.
The flavor moderately leaned to the malty crisp dried sweet side. Crisp malty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, I didn’t mind this as an amber ale, did the trick for me. b3shine (8870) - Indiana, USA - SEP 4, 2015
Draft to taster at Odd Side. Looks good for the style; a transparent copper with foamy off-white head. Smells of mild pumpkin, related spices, and ale yeast. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. A bit of caramel of the tongue as well. Okay. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Draft at Oddside. Dark amber with a light head. Sweet with light hop bitterness. A solid amber for a style I’m not a huge fan of. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2013
On tap at Pete’s Place. I think I mainly got it was because it was by Odd Side. I usually don’t go after ambers. I found it to be ok. JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Sample at Odd Side on 3/29/13. Clear amber pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, tropical fruit and crisp earthy hops. Malty and caramelly flavor with a crisp earthy hop finish.

On tap Blackthorn Pub, Holly,MI...I’m not a great fan of Amber’s to begin with, but I had yet to try any of Odd Sides beers, so I gave this a try. Decent enough as the style goes, but there was a distinctly weird flavor of caramelized BBQ chicken that just didn’t work. My first and last Jackalope... gearbike (512) - West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA - MAR 17, 2012
A pleasant surprise to find this beer while out for a great lunch. Pours a cloudy golden color. Very light with a mouthful of carbonation bubbles. Slight sweetness but overpowered by some hops. Drinkable but something is just a bit off. It clashed with the pizza and it shouldn’t.

On tap at Odd Side this past weekend. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a clear amber color with a nice off-white head and good lacing. The nose brings forward light caramel and a bit of bread. Nice notes of pine there as well. After the nose, the flavor brings forward a moderate amount of bread and caramel, plus a good bit of piney hops, which are more prevalent in the finish. Some citrus notes as well. Light body and good carbonation. Solid. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - JUL 24, 2011
On tap; pour is murky golden amber with an average white head that retains modestly in this glass. Cobweb style lacing is very present. Biscuits, caramel, and pine come through on the nose. The flavor profile is fairly light bodied, balanced, and drinkable as you would expect. Pine, citrus zest, biscuits, and cream from the head. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2010
