Bottle thanks to Deyholla! Deep chestnut pour with a small head. Fruity esters - pear and red apple fruit leather. A bit of red berry jam Candi sugar. Brioche and caramel. Robust, complex set of flavor’s. Toasty, rich malt-forward profile with some red berry accents. Toasty, oaky finish. Mild apple skin and a bit of cardboard. Feels a bit oxidized. 12 oz. bottle, share thanks to Willrunforbeer. Dirty muddy water brown color, no head. Aroma is tannic red wine, funky moldy oak. To be fair, this was sitting for a undisclosed amount of time. Maybe a tad more funk then I care for.

Leans more on a sour brown/ red. The Brewer calls it a Abbey Dubbel... Ummmmm ok. The longer it sits, it will get more funky. This is not a Lucid dream for me at all. funky oak, tannic red wine. Not for me.
12oz bottle from umich03jm. Thanks, Jason! Pours murky medium brown with a light beige head. Aroma is dark cherry, acetic funk. Sour red/brown here we come! Flavor is caramel, raisin, dark cherry. 12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988 from Dumpster Box No. 2. The pour is a dark ring color with no brown anywhere. This is straight red. There is a lowly very light khaki colored head that bubbles down to a film. The aroma is all wine and sourness. There is no traditional Dubbel aromas anywhere. A light malt exists at the very front, but that's it. All wine and light sour. The flavor is pretty much sour Belgian malt with a little wine thrown in. There is a sharpness that was offered up, and it's not good. The mouth feel is a little heavier and under carbonated. There is a heavy wood presence on the finish. The aftertaste is lingeringly wine-soaked wood and a little Belgian malt. Interesting for sure, but I'll never drink this again.

Appearance is red, ruby, brownish, light tan head. Taste is cough medicine. Robitussin with carbonation. Red wine, Belgian malt, tannins, tons of barrel, terrible. Pours hazy deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of mal,t caramel, dried fruits, white wine and hint of funk. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long vinous, caramel, dried fruity and slightly funky finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
