Bottle. Pours opaque black, small creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is cocoa, peppers, cinnamon, vanilla. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, light chili head. Medium body. A bit heavy handed.

12 ounce bottle from Elmer’s Escanaba. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of cinnamon, coffee, chocolate, and a hint of peppers. The taste is cinnamon, vanilla, peppers, chocolate. Medium bodied, mild lingering heat.

Aroma is dark malts, cinnamon and definitely creeping chilies. The flavor is dark malts, cinnamon, dark fruit/fruit and a mix of chilies and acidity in the finish.

From BandC. Not my thing, weird aroma, very spiced, and then the heat was a little much. Interesting if it was part of a sample but not a whole bottle. Serving: Bottle

12/23/16. 12oz bottle thanks to Patrick! Another Hunahpu’s clone! Black pour with a nice khaki head. Okay aroma, roasted malts, chocolate, some spice. Good flavor, roasted malts, chocolate, cinnamon, a touch of spice that builds. Tasty.

Very rich Stout with mocha tones. Great body with very dark color and wonderful aroma. Oh and it pairs well with a great burger.

12 oz. bottle from Mark - thanks again, Mark! Pours an opaque near-black color, really deep, with a small tan head that settles into a ring, small island of film, and a few ropes of lace in the glass. Big cinnamon and spicy peppers and nutmeg in the aroma, along with brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, and graham cracker. The flavor doesn’t quite have the same balance or depth, with coffee, habanero, dark chocolate, cinnamon, earth, dark fruits, brown sugar, and a hint of metal. Light-medium bodied, with a spicy, sweet, rich, and just barely tangy mouthfeel. Spicy finish and aftertaste. Just a wee bit too much heat on the palate without as much balance as the aroma. Nice, fun beer otherwise.

Aroma is spicy, spicy, spicy... definitely the habeneros, but also vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg - wow! There is a fair amount of bitterness, though who knows if it’s from hops or roasted malt. Color is pretty much black with a small tan head. Taste includes that generalized bitterness and not too much sweetness. Body is medium; texture is oily to creamy; carbonation average; finish is loooong and warm.

Draft. Pours thick black. The aroma is bold. Cinnamon and spices. The main taste cinnamon and sweet chocolate is light but good. Then the heat rushes in not over powering.

12oz bottle from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. Big cinnamon/pepper presence with almost a chocolate mint component. Loved the BA imperial version which seemed to smooth the pepper out. This is solid with the pepper being a key player. 13.8
