Amazing vanilla and cinammon notes. Smells like a fresh baked cookie. Head is light but color is nice dark black. Taste is like the smell. Great creaminess. Nice vanilla and cinnamon and nutmeg. Light on the palate. Easy finish. A great beer especially for a spice beer. Also a pepper spice in the finish.

Draft. Pours thick black. The aroma is bold. Cinnamon and spices. The main taste cinnamon and sweet chocolate is light but good. Then the heat rushes in not over powering.

12oz bottle from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. Big cinnamon/pepper presence with almost a chocolate mint component. Loved the BA imperial version which seemed to smooth the pepper out. This is solid with the pepper being a key player. 13.8

Dark black. Very thin and receding lacing. Starts off chocolate and cinnamon and then habernero sits on the palate. Not much heat, its just really well balanced. I love these sessionable mexican chocolate style beers. Thx arminjewell

Bottle. Black with a small tan head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, winter spices, and pepper. Taste is cocoa, chocolate, coffee, winter spices, cinnamon, and pepper in the finish. Thinner for the style and a lingering mild heat.

The aroma is wonderful chocolate and spices and it pours a perfectly beautiful glass of brew with a sizable, long lasting creamy brown head. I would prefer it to have a thicker more creamy mouthfeel but that is my personal preference. The spices come through more as a scent to me but they do enhance the overall flavor. I get more of the light chocolate/coffee forward with lingering habanero bringing up the end.

Bottle brought from Michigan. Not loving the cinnamon and nutmeg flavors. They almost taste artificial. I wouldnt mind that its maybe a little too spicy if it werent for the cinnamon weirdness. It almost has a soapy taste. I tasted a ton of new great beers on my trip to Michigan, but this was a disappointment.

On tap. Very interesting. Pours black. Aroma is chocolate and nutmeg with cinnamon. Taste is the same but with the habenero spiciness that lingers long and bitter

(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium cream head. Aroma of chilies, coffee, and chocolate. Flavor of chilies, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, some autumn spices, and earthiness with a lingering spicy finish.

On tap at Bigbys Pour House in Addison, IL., dispensed to a small snifter showing a black/brown hue, with a fingers width of frothy, brownish tan head foam, and wavy lacing. The nose was expressive notes of roastiness, sweet milk chocolate, a bit of coffee, and spices as cinnamon & nutmeg. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste continued the aroma notes, and combined a dry, roasted & earthy bitterness, with a peppery heat that enhanced the flavor, and lingered pleasantly in the throat. Enjoyably unique.
