Bottle from trade with umich03jm. Thanks, Jason! Pours medium amber with a big clingy white head. Aroma is wildflowers, fresh cut grass. Taste is dominated by grassy hop bitterness, some wheat and floral hop hiding in there too. Grassy hop bitterness in the finish coats the tongue. Bottle from box aroma, pours an amber with a white head. Aromas of moderate grassy hops with a touch of citrus. Taste is pretty bitter upfront, bitter in the middle and bitter in the finish. With a lingering bitterness. Bitter. This is probably the most bitter beer I’ve ever had that does not exhibit any other hop characteristics such as tropical fruit, pine or anything else. It’s just bitter. And more bitter. With a bitter finish. Sammy (13348) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 7, 2013
Fresh bottle from Champane’s Cellars. A good hoppy beer, hops give it a citrus kick and it was nicely drinkable. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Thanks to HisBoyElroy for the bottle. Pretty good stuff. Transferring rating from Beer Advocate. tectactoe (3126) - Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2013
UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Burnt amber color with some copper tones, good clarity. Foamy and frothy eggshell head shows good retention and leaves nice sheets of lace behind. Aroma is full of pine, light resin, mild citrus peel, a bit of earthiness, and a slightly mild soapy character. Taste is a hop slam, quite bitter out of the gate. Staunch piney hops, earthy & dirty a bit. Some bitter grapefruit pith and citrus peel. Again, a soapy flavor in the finish, a little more noticeable this time, finishing with a dry bitterness. Good, but it tastes more like an amped up session IPA than a wheat beer.

$2.19 single. Bottle date is scratched away, but I’d go out on a limb and say this isn’t more than 2 months old. Poured into a shaker pint.
Appearance: A really hazy dark orange color -- darker than I was expecting. A light, soapy-ish tan head floats on top and is about two-fingers for awhile before staying at one. Very nice lacing.
Smell: Decidedly hoppy, but with some malty character to not make it overwhelming. Earthy hops with a sort of sweet citrus smell as well.
Taste/feel: Outstanding beer. I tend to dislike most beers that are under 5% because I tend to find that they lack much flavor/character, but this one is fantastic. A wave of sweetness and juiciness on the front of each sip, with a nice hop bite on the finish to make this drink like a wheaty IPA. The wheat character isn’t gushing in this one, which I like, because too much of a wheat flavor often times turns me off on a beer.
A session beer if there ever was one.. I love the sweetness on the front and then the smack of bitterness almost immediately after. This may actually be my favorite from Odd Side. jgb9348 (6773) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Very nice crisp amber coloured body with a copper glow and a perfect three centimetre tall off-white and tan head - this looks great. Aroma of bright grapefruity, pine and slightly resinous hops, some pineapple and a bit of caramel malt, some light cleanser and a touch of bubble gum and lemons. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong initial hop flavour with some grass, pine and herbal notes coming through and then fading to a smooth and crisp wheatie flavour, all with a lot of floral and grassy hop notes throughout. Aftertaste shows some hop bitterness, a hint of caramel malt and a light alcohol overtone. Overall, a very nice wheat based IPA with quite a lot of grassy and herbal bitterness throughout, but leaving the palate dry and clean and a relatively smooth showing. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-September-2013. this beer gave a nice off-white head that receded to a cover and ring,
it had a burnt orange and red pour, the bottom of the bottle had a partial layer of medium brown sediment but there was no haze in the beer,
it had aromas of grass and pine hops with toasted malt and bread like notes, orange fruit and some berry, there was a good amount of fruit and malt sweetness but it was not overly sugary on the nose,
the flavors were toasted malt, grass and spice hops, fruit, a little spice, and some malt sweetness, the finish had grass hop bitterness with some malt trailing,
the mouth feel was light to medium with soft carbonation,
a nice drink, I liked the malt and hop balance, I did not get much wheat in this drink except the spice touch. jtclockwork (18159) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 16, 2013
Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours dirty blonde amber with white head. Nose and taste of wheat malt, grain, grapefruit, creamed oranges and citrus peel. Medium body. fattybladdy (830) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle, clear medium amber in appearance. Herbal scent. Taste is peppery herbal hops, pine, and a bit of citrus, good bitterness, maybe some slight wheatiness. Much more IPA than wheat ale.
