Molasses on the nose. Deep Amber with 2 finger head. Brown sugar and molasses with a bit of hop and citrus. Smooth finish with a hint of pine tree. jgb9348 (6648) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 18, 2016
Hazy amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying tan head, only about a centimetre tall. Aroma of alcohol, resin, honey, syrup, grapefruit, pine, floral hops and a bit more syrup and resin - pungent. Full-bodied; Deep bitter piney and resinous flavour at first with a big bitter flavour, some malt and rye notes, but a lot of sweet hop and super dense piney syrupy resin notes that last quite a long time. Aftertaste is strong and sweet with the alcohol big and bold with a lot of bitterness of course, some caramel flavours as well, but this is all about the pungent alcohol, strong hoppy flavours and a ton of resinous hops. Overall, a decent beer and an Imperial IPA with a ton of character - which is nice to see. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle during the final ever home opener at the Joe Louis Arena for the Detroit Red Wings, on 17-October-2016, purchased at Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 24-July-2015 for US$2,79 sampled at home in Washington on 17-October-2016. Huh okay. This tastes reminds me of putting sprinkles in yogurt when I was a kid. I guess it hides the 9% well. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 19, 2015
bottle - Pours a deep, hazy copper, dark for the style. Piney hop and caramel aroma. It has a bitter, resinous hop taste. Long, bitter finish. Good beer though as a big fan of the style I’d say there are many better ones. BrownALEx (459) - Portland, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2015
Hoppy and caramel aroma. Burnt orange pour with a thick white head. Nice lacing left on the glass. Taste is wonderfully hoppy and bitter. Slight booze taste. Palate is full bodied, slick. This beer here, is good. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

355ml bottle. Hazed amber pour, ecru head. Piney and caramel aroma, bit of passion fruit. Mouthfeel is large, flavor is nice, piney but sweet, bit hot in alcohol, some fruitiness, not overly bitter but firm. Make it less burning in alcohol and you have a really good dipa. arminjewell (9744) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2015
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy dark orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some orange peel into a bit of fruit, slight earthy notes with a hint of spice. Taste was a mix of orange, grapefruit, some slight piney notes into some biscuit, caramel, toffee, slight spice, finishing fairly bitter. ChrisSc (465) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 4, 2015

Golden with white head. Super bitter with white head. Grapefruit and citrusy. Massive. Good Criz (362) - - JUN 14, 2015
Pours a brownish amber off white head that sticks and lasts for the whole beer. Nose of sticky pine, bubblegum, grassy. Sweet on the palate, low carbonation, semi bitter finish. Decent DIPA.
