Draft to taster at Odd Side. Looks solid; a transparent orangish amber with off-white/very light beige head. Smells malty and toasty with some bitter hops in the background. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Inoffensive, but underwhelming. katrinaez (2247) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2016
A light scent of citrus and malts, minimal hops. Dark red/amber color. Taste is still light in malts with an effervescent feel in the mouth. A little sweet. Light hops taste. Very drinkable. Tap at brewery. burg326 (5607) - Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2015
poured a redish amber color from the bottle with aromas of light tropical fruit, malt, some light caramel and nuts. Flavors were light tropical fruit and hops with some caramel, and a touch of malt. Decent over all. dinkle50 (1532) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Deep ruby red pour with a thin head. Aroma of rye and grass. Full mouth. Taste is big time rye. Grassy earthy bitterness. Rye is a little overdone and creates a pretty strong flavor. Big time bitterness. A little too bitter for my liking. Sammy (12762) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2014
More rye than ipa at this point. Thanks for holding Champane. Still good drinkability. Lots of dark and foam.

Bottle. Pours a fairly deep brownish red with a large foamy head and aromas of spruce and grain dust. Flavor has a very nice spruce edge to it across the palate, but the malt seems to wash out in the middle... it’s solid up front and across the finish, but in the middle it just gets watery. That said, it’s a darn fine beer, especially for a lower ABV one. chucklemation (1763) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Pours a dark red with a white foam head. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit hops and floral notes. Flavor is light tropical fruit with moderate bitterness and caramel. Has a unique look for an IPA and tastes great. BlowOffTube (515) - Michigan, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Red pour thin white head. Spicy hops sticks and leaves. Nice citrus bite sweet malt body. Light body moderate carbonation. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 6, 2014
This poured a reddish color with a white head. Aroma was of tropical hops, toast and cartel. Flavor bright hops upfront but unfortunately followed by biscuit cartel malt. Descent. flatmatt (1608) - Northville, Michigan, USA - SEP 29, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours deep amber (to the point of looking opaque in indirect light) with a light tan head. Toasty grain aroma with some citrus. Toasted flavor and light citrus, herbal hoppiness again. On the lighter side, and not nearly enough hoppiness for a take on an IPA. A pretty nice amber ale, though.
