This beer pours from bottle with rather small head, very hazy, and is quite yellow. The taste is super grapefruit flavor. Seriously, it is like someone squeezed grapefruit into the beer just before serving it. If you like beer and you like grapefruit, this may be your ideal brew. Odd Side Ale Citra Pale Ale is awesome. This, so so to me, but that is largely a personal thing. It seems to be a quality beer. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2013
My second Odd Side brew. A pretty decent beer. You can for sure have a few of these in a row. Wouldn’t mind getting more. jeremugohio (94) - springboro, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Nice beer. Tasty citra hops, but not over-bearing. Good golden poorand mildly bitter finish. Alextricity (509) - Michigan, USA - SEP 9, 2013
Had twice -- once out of the bottle dated 5/3/13 yesterday, and this one (from a separate batch) with an erased date, poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Not the best looking label in the world -- it’s supposed to look like an acid trip, I think, with a simcoe hop sitting in front of a hippy background. Insanely hazy with very little light getting through. There’s about a finger of head that goes to one and sticks around a little while. Even after the head is gone, the lacing is unbelievably sexy.
Smell: Unreal ... definitely highlighting the simcoe... fruity and floral as hell.
Taste/feel: At the ABV, it’s hard to believe. There’s a mild bitterness, but there’s a surprisingly nice balance with malt in there. Fruity and floral from the simcoe, with a slightly spicy malt finish that lingers extremely pleasantly. The feel is actually a bit heavier than I was expecting, which is a great thing -- I REALLY have a distaste for watered down feeling beers. The balance is what makes this beer much better than the likes of All Day IPA by Founders, which seems to be an extremely popular beer.
Not only is it a great beer at 4.5%, it’s just a great beer. Smells incredible, tastes almost just as good, looks spectacular in the glass... wow. It may be $2.19 per bottle (not sure the six-pack price), but I have to say it’s actually worth it. I don’t normally like "session ales" (light beers), but this one is great. edwardbass (837) - Illinois, USA - SEP 6, 2013
Aroma is lost on me as usual thanks to my crappy sinuses. Dark yellow color. I think I understand Simcoe hops now - piney, grassy, a little bit of citrus. Not a lot of malt is obvious in this beer. I’m guessing that if you enjoy Simcoe hops, you would enjoy this beer a lot.

Hazy golden-orange, medium sized white head, soapy lacing. Grassy, piney, citric simcoe profile with a noticeable, but light, pale malt presence. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, moderate bitterness. bigtaster (977) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 29, 2013
Unfortunately from a bottle. Lighter beer, nose had citrus and floral. Body is light with a lot of carbonation, light hops slight bitterness in the finish, mostly fruity hops, not much malt. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2013
12oz bottle from Vine & Brew. Hazy amber orange golden color. Thin white head. Good ropes and bits of lace. Medium body. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Nice citrusy grapefruity hop profile. Nice grassiness. Light biscuity caramely malt. Great session IPA. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - AUG 23, 2013
One of my favorite styles right now. 12 oz. bottle. Pours a rich hazy orange with a small ring around the lip of the glass. Aroma of dank, pine, and tropical fruit hops. Flavor is strong, sharp, delicious bitter hop notes. Pine, mango, tangerine and orange peel. Delicious. Light bodied, nice effervescent carbonation. Finishes long and bitter. This is a perfectly executed session IPA. mmmm_beer (2) - Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2013 does not count
Very bitter and I like that. I am a fan of Odd Side Ales and I am happy to recommend this to any hop head.
