COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Humulus Kalecumber features a traditional berliner weisse grain bill and souring regime, but that is where the similarity to that classic style ends. A mixture of juice from kale, cucumber, and mint is added to the whirlpool and the beer is fermented with brettanomyces. The result is a complex but highly drinkable salad sipper, just in time for summer. The plant flavors blend with the acidity and fruit characteristics from the brettanomyces to create a profile reminiscent of watermelon.

On tap, poured a clear yellow hue w/ small white fully diminishing head. Moderate bright acidic and slightly vegatal aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate sour finish. Tastes are cucumber, mint, lemon and lime. Light bodied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can thanks to chow. Pours a clear gold with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong cucumber, veggie, watermelon seed. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, tart, juicy, very good.

12 oz single can from Molly’s Spirits. Golden yellow appearance with a small white head. Aroma of Brett, light funk, cucumbers, light herbal spice and hints of citrus zest and bread. Similar flavor, crisp, tart and refreshing overall.

Pour is pale golden yellow with lots of bubbly white head. Nose is sweet, tons of golden fruit, fair bit of grain, hops are oily in the nose. Flavor isn’t bad, cleaner golden fruits, nose was a bit more sugary, lots of cracker/grain, semi dry finish with an assertive carb. Gets almost a jolly rancher taste, the veggies don’t really come in play, hint of sourness.

12oz can. Solid for what it was. Very light & quaffable w/balanced vegetable & lightly sour notes. Cucumber dominated, but kale was present. Moderate body and medium+ carbonation.

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor are full of cucumber, oranges and pine. There is also a bit of biscuit malt which adds some sweetness. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Surprisingly good sour, because I was getting more sour and I like the mild contribution of cucumber and kale. Almost no mint. Good drinkability, nay very good.

Can at home, courtesy of Jason. Thanks man! Pour is clear golden with a big white head that quickly dissipated. Earthy, dirty, funky, somewhat fruity, lemony and cucumber in the aroma. Taste is earthy, leafy, some bread, light citrus notes, muted cucumber, and spices with a lightly tart finish. Light body with high carbonation. Not bad, but not really my thing.

Pours almost clear yellow gold with a thin fizzy white head. Smells like light tart citrus, wheat, and a hint of cucumber and green vegetables. Tastes lightly tart, with lots of crisp cucumber, some watermelon, and sour lemon. Light/medium body and carbonation.
