Typical Odell ale. Great color has a nice smell but the taste is where its at. Great beer that keeps you wanting more. SilverfoX (871) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2014
smells of malt and barley and cigar smoke (odd that i couldnt smell any hops?) dark amber with white foamy head. Rich and smooth creamy aftertaste, reminds me of rodenbach grand cru. excellent. Falconseye8 (542) - Evans, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2006
Odell’s makes some of my favorite beers. There are a few breweries who never disappoint. Odells has been one of those for me.Nice head out of the bottle. Sweet, golden color, faint hop/malt tastes. Very refreshing beer. Very good beer. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 8, 2006
On tap at their tasting room. This was my favorite of their beers I think... the hops definitely stand out in taste and aroma. A bit thin. The bitterness comes out towards the end. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2006
Had this bottled, thanks Slothgar! Deep reddish pour with a thin, off white head, nice thick mouthfeel with plenty of hops bitterness, notes of roses, and somewhat smokier than most pales. Good!

12oz bottle. Pours a pale orange amber color. Slightly hazy. Thin white head. Aroma of caramelized sugars and a big hop citrus. Heavenly. A touch of toffee. Flavor of pale malts, rich caramel. Finishes with a sharp pine bitterness. Medium bodied. A very well tasting APA. 8,4,8,5,14 Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUL 14, 2011

A bright amber beer with sticky resinous hop aroma with underlying peaches. Grapefruit dominant in the body alongside some pine needle followed by a bitter spike with a sweet but grapefruit pithy finish. ciaranc (1102) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 5, 2012
Slightly hazy amber gold pour, cloudy white head. Sweet, flowery, perfumy, resiny hops and some caramel, grapefruit and pineapple in the aroma. Luscious caramel, summer fruits and toasted malt in the flavour, offset by more of those sharp, bright hops, well into IPA territory here. Quite light in the body. Soft though slightly lively carbonation. More lush caramel malt in the finish. Delicious. commonshawn (1256) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Tap. Copper, with white head and decent lacing. Piney aroma. Bitter hop crispness with good malt finish. Solid beer from a great brewery. commonmac (1245) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Tap pour at 3 Squares in a less than pint glass. Crisp quality beer that would fit well in anyone’s stable of pale ales. Little lacing. Great aroma of hops that carries throughout the beer. Not much in terms of complexity but a solid option.
