On tap. Comes a somewhat hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, fruit, and florals. Taste is lemon, yeast, malt, spice, and florals. Nice. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - JUL 12, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2013 750. Somewhat faint aroma that has a hint of sourness. Hazy yellow body with plenty of carbonation. Lemon notes. Having this right after Lucid Silo saison. Very similar. This one has more lemon, more alcohol and perhaps more of an authentic Belgian flavor. Very good but struggling a little to determine if its worth 4x the cost of Lucid Silo. Quite carbonated. cards04 (2917) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 4, 2013
On tap at independent ale house in rapid city. Pours a pretty straw colour. Lots of herbal and vegetal notes in this. Very interesting. Good. Doofgoblin (513) - Chevy Chase, Washington DC, USA - JUL 3, 2013
This is quite good! It’s more on the lemony, floral, yeast side of a saison. The clove and peppery nature is really faint. The carbonation is up there where you’d expect it. The finish is nice with no detectable flaws. Doesn’t have the funk of other saisons, but hey. Solid and drinkable...lotion, more lotion...your feet are like a prehistoric riverbed... ads135 (5031) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 1, 2013
This was an okay saison though not the best offering from odell. Dry and floral with a subtle citrus and pepperiness.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Slightly hazy light gold pour with a small white head. Tart apple, pepper, some clove - decent. Pretty unique. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 27, 2013
Cloudy yellow pour, white head. Funky flavors, a bit of tartness, earthy notes, some spice, green banana, yeasty goodness. I like this one. Ernest (7817) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly to moderately yeasty (basement), with notes of bubble gum / cotton candy and alcohol.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
I wouldn’t call this a saison, but I will admit it doesn’t tarnish the name nearly as much as some examples. It’s too sweet, too boozy, and the nose itself is a pretty generic Belgian (strong-ish) blonde ale odor. Their own commercial description about "banana-and-clove" being a traditional saison odor kind of suggests a root problem of targeting characters they perhaps shouldn’t have been (even though this beer doesn’t really possess either banana or clove aromas IMHO...it’s definitely more in the cotton candy / bubble gum vein wrt esters, and I don’t really get clove OR pepper phenols...it’s more just raw alcohol, grainy malt, and basement-ish yeast smells instead). Looks nice, but that’s about it...quite mediocre, organoleptically speaking. Overpriced for the quality, as is sadly too often the case in the beer world these days. portableparty (2384) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUN 13, 2013
750 ml. bottle. Pours hazy pale dark gold orange color with a large fluffy pillow of white head that slowly settles to a foamy film and spotty lacing. Aroma has pepper yeast and bubblegum scents and some nice florals and hints of citrus. Taste is floral and bready with yeast bubblegum some pepper and citrus hops. Palate is chalky fizzy and dry. Nice and traditional Saison in my opinion. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Tap at the brewery. The smell is yeast, spiced, fruit, clove, and Belgian. The look is clear, golden orange in color, and has a off white head. The taste is banana, clove, yeast, wheat, and ok.
