16 oz glass on tap at Bier:Thirty. Disappointment rules with this particular glass of porter. Dirty tap lines, weird nitro thing, served too cold, who knows? Will try again via bottle or can. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle @home (rating backlog). Pours black, tan head. Nose is coffee, toffee, malty, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, milk chocolate, slight fruits, slight vanilla. Thin. hauxe (898) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 30, 2017
Pours deep brown from the bottle with a light tan, foamy head. The aroma has strong roasted notes, smoke, caramel, and a light touch of dark chocolate. Taste is sweet to bittersweet, with a modest uptick in bitterness and roasted flavor at the finish. Body is not exactly light, but stays to the lighter side of medium. Pretty good. Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2010, Parsons Green, London in July 2010 - Black in colour. Very malty; roasty malts, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Smokey notes. Fruity; dark fruit. Rich, creamy, smooth and full flavoured. Sweet malty with dark roast chocolate and coffee flavours. Balanced by mildly bitter slightly earthy hops. Very tasty. Nice Porter! Bottle. Dark brown to black color. Thin brown head. Light sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body. Aroma and flavour is coffee, spices, liquorice, chocolate, nuts, fruity, caramel. Bif (2309) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - DEC 11, 2016
Nitro tap. Pours a deep brown with a hint of ruby around the edge. Has a thick creamy head and ample lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee bit of chocolate and nuts. Taste is similar with roasted malt, bit of coffee, chocolate and caramel sweetness. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and creamy with a nice malty flare. Enjoyable beer that goes down quite easy. Andrew196 (1978) - Katy, Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2016
Bottle to shaker - Pours black, slightly brown edges with a beige head, kinda thin. Aroma is heavy on the coffee grounds, some smoke. Thin in the tongue, more coffee and dark roasted malts, traces of cocoa. Decent but pretty simple to me...pretty robust for 5%.
