3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. The pour was a murky dark brown with a large (2-3 finger) frothy light brown head that to some extent lasted throughout and produced some really nice spotty lacing.
The aroma was kind of mild of a roasted dark bread malt and an earthy yeast with notes of chocolate, coffee and just a bit of toffee.
The taste was mildly sweet and malty with a slight toffee note in the beginning with a taste progressing into a slight bitter sweet roasty flavor with a noticeable infusion of chocolate and a moderate coffee presence at the end. The flavor lasted only a short while with the chocolate coffee flavor fading fast.
Mouthfeel was just about medium in body and smooth and creamy in texture with a nice soft carbonation.
Overall a slightly passive tasting Porter, with that being said it is still quite delightful to drink.
A little surprised by the score. It is a rather smooth & nonbitter porter but on the same hand, lacks any remarkable qualities. It does pour quite nice - nearly black w/ a tan head & great lacing. The aroma has a nice dark malt & roastiness to it. The flavor is really subtle & lacking depth that would make this excellent. Average. balloonbuffoon (747) - - NOV 18, 2017
12floz bottle, BBD: 01.17.2017, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. Appears dark brown with a dark red highlight along the bottom edges. Head is a tan color and is frothy. Smelss like roasted grains and a clean metal pipe. Black patent malt character is present to lend straight forward roasted flavor. Body is medium. As simplistic as it can get. This is a no frills porters. Doable in a pinch, but where I'm from, if this is available then something else better will be too. eruizgarcia (367) - - OCT 26, 2017
Roasted coffee and chocolate, incredibly smooth on nitro, super delicious beer!

16 oz glass on tap at Bier:Thirty. Disappointment rules with this particular glass of porter. Dirty tap lines, weird nitro thing, served too cold, who knows? Will try again via bottle or can. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 31, 2017

Pours deep brown from the bottle with a light tan, foamy head. The aroma has strong roasted notes, smoke, caramel, and a light touch of dark chocolate. Taste is sweet to bittersweet, with a modest uptick in bitterness and roasted flavor at the finish. Body is not exactly light, but stays to the lighter side of medium. Pretty good. Black with a creamy tan head. Bold toasted malt, chocolate, a bit of earth, and bittersweet notes. Medium bodied. Light roasted malts and bittersweet notes in the finish. Quite a nice Porter. mjmoen (628) - - APR 21, 2017

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2010, Parsons Green, London in July 2010 - Black in colour. Very malty; roasty malts, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Smokey notes. Fruity; dark fruit. Rich, creamy, smooth and full flavoured. Sweet malty with dark roast chocolate and coffee flavours. Balanced by mildly bitter slightly earthy hops. Very tasty. Nice Porter!
