COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Golden Ale created by blending the final recipe with its own barrel aged pilot beers fermented with wild yeasts and lacto. Each individual barrel contributes a unique flavor from the wood chosen and the cultures resident to achieve the subtle complexities that develop(ed) over time. A beer which starts sweet, filling the mouth with fruit-like esters and mild spiciness, changing to a tart and lingering flavor reminiscent of apples and grapefruit living amidst an earthy, citrusy hop aroma. 42% aged in wine barrels 58% Ale

75cl bottle from Appellation Wines and opened by unstablefable who almost lost an eye as the cork shot over our shoulders. Pours a golden colour with a little bit of haze and an enormous head - see earlier gushing comment. The nose has grass, woodiness and undergrowth. The taste has more fresh grass, this time with spice and some overripe banana. The palate has a really big structure, though the texture is quite tight and there is a long refreshing but still powerful finish. I like this a lot.

Tap at Pracna. Mostly clear rich golden pour with a white head. Nice blend of passion fruit, grape, and kiwi. Slightly sour, mostly easy drinking. I’m digging it.

Big pop when opened pours hazy golden with huge light and tightly structured white head, Nose is complex, balanced, and subtle layers of traditional golden ale apples and pears over honey malt with soft funky fruit, kiwi, and light red wine barrel, Taste follows with added dense layer of sweetness, not overpowering, but evident, more carbonation in the mouth rather than on the pour would be nice to carry the sweetness, but acidic notes do help out, Overall, another solid offering from odell’s sour program, not mind blowing, but loaded with subtle nuances

Pours a clear, reddish straw. Fruity esters on the nose with a slight funk as well. The esters give way to sweet, grapelike qualities in the middle. Finishes tart and winey.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Bottle at Euston Tap, many thanks to jack. It pours hazy orange with a few floaters and a massive white head. The nose is earth, grapefruit, orange, Granny Smith apple, pear, spice, wood, metal and hay. The taste is earth, wood, hay, light pear, apple, grapefruit, light vinous notes, subtle tartness, baryard and light alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not outstanding, but pretty interesting nonetheless.

2012 750 ml bottle. This one popped like the movies! I untwisted the cage and pop, no spill, just a pop of the cork. Pours orange amber in color with a large tight sudsy head that slowly fades to a foamy tight head that lasts. Aroma is light tart fruity grape wine notes along with wood and wet corks. Taste is musty malt caramel with wood wet cork and wine grape fruitiness with light tart funk and malty characters. Palate is full and very fizzy with a dry musty funk finish. This is a nice clean and very wild ale that is very carbonated with good funky wild notes, I hope I can grab another one and see how this changes in a year or so!

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized, creamy white head. The aroma has tart citrus and apple notes, wood, caramel, white grapes, acidic with a hint of alcohol. The flavor has some sweetness before the tart fruits come into play. Citrus, white grapes, apples, spicy notes, wood, caramel and mild acidity. This is an interesting beer.
