COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is light in body and mild on hopping, but is not wimpy in taste. The yeast we leave in adds a delicate floral and citrus flavor and enhances the beers mouthfeel.

KajII (800) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - DEC 9, 2012
12oz Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium orange with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that steadily receded, down to a thin scattered film with a small collar and fair spotty lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt, mild grassy hops and a sweaty yeast with a note of citrus (lemon) and a touch of honey. The taste was a tad sweet and a bit grainy with hints of honey and citrus pretty much throughout, with the finish having a strong yeast presence and a light hoppiness towards the end. The flavor lasted an average time following the swallow with a citrusy and slightly bitter yeast taste left behind. Mouthfeel was a step or two beyond light in body and watery in texture with a medium carbonation. Overall this was a pretty basic Wheat Beer that had a good flavor and a really good drinkability, most definitely would make a great summer BBQ session beer...

A great summer wheat beer, perfect for the backyard grilling season. I'd pick this one again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Lagunitas mason jar From: Ridleys Family Markets in Laramie, Wyo. Price: $7.99 for a 6-pack (I think) Purchased: Nov. 18, 2016 Consumed: Nov. 20, 2016 Reviewed as: American Pale Wheat Ale Misc.: Best by Jan. 24, 2017 Jason didnt want to take his two leftovers from a 6-pack home, so I brought them back for me. Didnt know much about the beer, but I knew that Odell has some quality stuff. Poured a medium-to-straw gold yellow hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. For the style, excellent uneven foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00) Smelled cloves, a touch of banana, maybe banana bread, caramel, grass, hay, corn, unknown spices and even cantaloupe and/or melon. (Smell - 3.75) Taste followed the nose nicely. This is very nice and refreshing. Cloves, honey, grass, hay, corn, bready yeast, cereal, peppery spices, lemon zest, faint Circus Peanuts candy, banana bread and some caramel malts. (Taste - 4.00) Light body. Oily-to-thin texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, refreshing finish. (Feel - 4.00) For the style, this nailed it. Very good. (Overall - 4.00) 3.94 88 B+

Draught at Little Bear. Low fluffy white lasting head. Hazy amber body. Highly carbonated fruity banana peach aroma and flavor with little hops bitterness and a long sweet finish.

The aroma is kinda hay, stale. Pours a clear yellow with fully diminishing white head and excellent lacing. The taste is umami, neither sweet, bitter or sour. The body is light/medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish abrupt. Ok, nothing really special.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong fruit and wheat. Medium body, wheat, citrus, crisp, good.

12oz pour from bottle into shaker. Pours pale, hazy, yellow, with a very weak head. Nose of wheat, very straightforward. Light-to-medium body, dry. Taste is straightforward bitter, wheaty, not much complexity. Im a bit disappointed, really. Odell normally does better than this.

Pretty forgettable pale wheat. Grainy mild citrus and pale malts. Light. There you have it.

Bottle, Not gonna waste a lot of words on this. Weak and thin palate, indistinct aroma, flavor had a chemical component to it that rubbed me the wrong way. This is not my idea of a good wheat beer.

On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a fair head. Aroma of grain, bit of malt sweetness and citrus. Taste of citrus, malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp clean and refreshing. Nice easy drinker.
