COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There are ten states that make up what we call our distribution footprint. Each state made a unique contribution to Footprint. This artful ale is our tribute to these states in which our beer is available. The result is a crafty collective of regional flavors:

Colorado – Hops and barley
Arizona – Prickly pear
Idaho – Barley and hops
Kansas – Wheat
Minnesota – Wild Rice
Missouri – Oak Barrels
Nebraska – Corn
New Mexico – Green Chiles
South Dakota – Barley and honey
Wyoming – wheat

50% ale brewed with honey, 10% ale brewed with honey and aged in wine barrels, 40% ale brewed with honey and natural flavors added

dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine Scottsdale. Pours a hazy straw color with nice off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma has resinous hops, florals citrus and a bit of wood. Taste is sweet malts with some honey sweetness and finishing bitterness. Medium bodied with a slick texture. The oak is noticeable and distinctly Odells in flavor. That is the same oakiness is found in several Odell?s beers. A nice idea from the brewer and one that I enjoyed more than their other offerings.

poisoneddwarf (2645) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JUN 3, 2012
750 ml corked and caged bottle. I like the concept here. Aroma is nice and hoppy--grapefruit is strong; I also get the green chiles--or something vegetal anyway. Pours hazy gold with a long-sustaining thick off-white soapy head. Taste is sweet and meaty; faintly spicy at the end. Tastes more like an imperial IPA than anything, although there are so many different ingredients thrown in to the mix. Not sure what so many of these adjuncts contribute to the overrall beer. All I taste are hops and malted barley with a suggestion of green chiles (??). The oak is nonexistent, but I guess at only 10% of the mix it should be (why only 10%?). An interesting concept, again, but some of these ingredients should be much more prominent (at least noticeable!). That doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s pretty tasty stuff, though. Re-think: beer starts to wear out its welcome after sitting in the glass awhile, lowering my overall a point.

750 ml. bottle- Pours hazy golden with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is funky and sour, hops. The taste is wheat, a little funky, tangy, wood, hops, alcohol, maybe honey. Body is medium, carbonation is high. Overall I liked this beer, but the alcohol could have been better hidden, and it would have been nice to detect some of those New Mexico chilies.

Fun concept. Big honeyed Belgiany nose. Kind of like a quad. Gold with fading head. Cloudy. Huge malt and grain profile with some sweet citrus. Full bodied. A bit too sweet for me. Everything seems to be there if you are looking for it but not exactly complex.

Clear honey, copper color with small off-white head. Aroma of honey, caramel, orange, pine, and damp hay. Tastes like honey with a touch of bitterness and twang. It’s warm and just a little spicy, can detect the oak woodiness. It’s just a little bit syrupy with adequate but fairly soft carbonation. On the sweeter side, definitely, but well tempered. It’s unique for sure. Complex and probably a bit beyond description. It’s sweet, slightly bitter and a little metallic/ astringent. I really like it. It’s unlike any brew I’ve had.

Hazy honey golden body, starburst dusting of a straw head. Sweet and earthy nose, slight wheat itch. Super sweet, almost barely wine initial taste with a syrupy mouthfeel weirdly lifts as it rolls to the midrange, fluffy and sprite witha a juicy edge. Finish is where it turns love/hate. Fresh heat arrives as you’re enjoying the refreshment. Chilli burn erupts on the fringes gluped in a sweet honey glaze and then every bud on your tounge and fissure on the roof of your mouth is flamed lightly with a linger that lasts two beers down the line. A fantastic but boggling beer.

On tap; poured an amber-orange color; aroma of lemon, caramel, citrus and honey. Flavor had alot of lemon and honey; a touch of earthy hops in the finish. Some touches of bread and caramel. Somewhat of a hybrid and a good stuff.

Bottle. Pours hazy bright orange with a white soapy head that fades to spotty film. Aroma is grain fruit like oranges and rind and wine corks (wood) with faint caramel. Taste has a good bitterness and dry fruit of oranges and wood and I get faint wine characteristics. Palate is medium and drying with a chalky finish. This is a complex brew. Another bottle down the road may bring me back to this rating. Non the less this is very enjoying and the alcohol is very well hidden.

Bacterial (3051) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Nose is fruity, a touch of citrus with some subtle vegetable notes. Deep golden color, almost no lacing and a thin white head. Taste is complex, starting with citrus, honey and then hoppy with a nice bitterness. Quite interesting! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: pour is hazy orange gold with a massive white head. Aroma is sweet, honey and biscuity malt, apricot/ peach fruitiness, floral. Good body, floral and honey on the front, crackery/biscuity malt, hints of nutty rice in there too. Strange minerally taste in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
