Big thanks to Jake for hooking me up with this growler. Pours a great, murky amber with touches of red and orange. Nice swirling head. One of the best smelling beers ever. Fantastic mix between big juicy hops and dark fruit. Flavor is a perfect IIPA/Barleywine mix, with great citrus, dark fruit, carmel, malt, and bitter hops on the backend. Very juicy. This beer is big in every way, giant aroma and flavor. Delicious. tjthresh (1875) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Growler shared by Jaquie and Josh. The nose is enormous with pungant Juicy Fruit hops. There are some malty characteristics, but this is a hoppy mother. Mouthfeel is sort of oily with a dry bitter finish. Yummy stuff. soyorganic (307) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2009
On tap at brewery. A llighter looking BW with a grassy hop aroma. Very nice taste and quaffable. A typical BW but with hops that were not over the top while being the most distinct taste. It had a caramel touch. The 10.8 alcohol was not noticeable. That1Guy (2237) - Colorado, USA - MAR 12, 2009
Crushed with Jakebra. Got a free sample from a dude who works for Odell. Wow. If a barley wine and a DIPA had a baby, this would be it. Huge hop nose backed up by a lot of sweet malts. This is just a balls-to-the-wall, badass, full-bodied, chewy, fuckin fantastic beer. Hope their other pilot brews turn out as well as this one. Very impressed.
