The featured "beer of the month" in an airport restaurant in Denver, shared with my wife while eating burgers. Nicely malty, semi-sweet, with a subtle spiciness (ginger, nutmeg) in the finish. Very nice.

12 oz. bottle from The Royale. Pours a cloudy pale amber color with a small eggshell white head. The aroma is faint, but I can pick out notes of English malts, dust, brown sugar, and overripe citrus. Flavor of English malts, grassy hops, dust, husky grains, wood, and a little bit of citrus. Light-medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a dry finish. Not a bad beer to start the night with.

courtsey of russpowell. Pours orange amber with light tan head. Aroma is malty and grainy. Taste, malty and floral hops. Light notes of caramel and light spices with the lingering hops. Dry finish. Very decent seasonal, easy to drink.

Pours deep red with white head, aroma has notes of toffee, caramel, slight cocoa, earthy spice and a touch of grass in there as well. Fairly smooth taste with some sweet caramel, toffee, and biscuit notes, went into some bitter grass, earth, finishing slightly sweet and dry. Not bad, a bit weak overall but tastes were nice.

Clear orange with large-bubbled tan head. Smells of smoky nuts and wood, but also a little medicine. Very carbonated and spritzy, with a nutty flavor throughout, prickly on the tongue, and finishes with a roasted caramel and nuts.

On tap at the brewery GABF 2012. Pours a light brown color with a medium white head. A big spicy nose with toasted malts. A sweet easy-drinking brew with spices, caramel and toast. Good.

Bottled. A chestnut coloured beer with white bubbles. Sweet malts and hedgerow berry hops in the nose. The taste is quite similar. Quite hoppy but with sweet malts. Woody. Hints of chocolate. A bit of iron in the mouth. Average and unconvincing.

Clear orange with bubbly ivory head. Smells of smoky nuts, cough medicine, and cheese. Taste is much the same, and unappealing. Some sweetness on the finish, but not enough to save this brew.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours clear copper with solid gold edges and thin off white head. Looks tasty. The aroma is a hodge podge of maltiness coming from crystal malts, mild lightly roasted malts and sweet malts followed by fruity notes. The taste is fruity ester dominated with raisins, prunes and apricots. Beyond midway a bit of roasted malts and crystal malts help bring the taste to closure.
