3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 11, 2014 12 oz bottle. Aroma consists of latex, citrus powder drink, tropical fruit, dusty basement. Pours clear golden with a big fluffy white head with excellent retention; leaves some funky lacework. Taste starts out sweet before quickly turning bitter; a bit biscuity. Thin bodied and highly carbonated, which is what you want in a session beer--at least I do. Not bad, even with the weird aroma.
Draft at Hwy 79 in Hot Springs SD. Clear pale yellow color. Light citrus aroma. Taste is lightly bitter light fruit. Easy drinking. GarrettB (1658) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 3, 2017
December 28th, 2014 - The Loose Leaf is the seasonable ale I’ve been looking for. Lighter and springier than an ESB but less hoppy than a session pale ale, this is a taste meant for Colorado. The liquid is somewhere between a gold and yellow color, with a mottled head on top. The nose is tangy, with both wheat and a lighter hop note in evidence, but mostly the bitterness of leafy greens, like dandelion leaves. The flavor is most notable for its heavy carbonation, engaging even while seasonable, with some potpourri and a clear floral note. Finhead (1816) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 1, 2017
Hazy golden pour with a white head. The aroma has a nice hop bouquet. It has a light, thin body with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a quick finish. pnote (1) - California, USA - JUN 27, 2017 does not count
Not very good. I expeted a session IPA flavor but it tastes kind of like a big name lager, which I can’t stand. Too sweet, almost no hop flavor, smells like cheap keg beer in college (Natural Light) rader58 (927) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - JUN 6, 2017
12oz can. Pours clear light golden to yellow. Aroma of grain, straw, hint of jasmine. Flavor of citrus, floral, grain. Light on flavor, but this does have a nice flavor for the low abv.

355ml bottle. Pale sparkling gold and slightly cloudy, with a thin and fine white head. Crisp hoppy aroma with a citrus tang. Mellow rounded grain flavour, extremely faint honey, with faint hoppy bitterness. Crisp and refreshing, as claimed. djd07 (15547) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with thick white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, grass, citrus. Medium body, sweet malt, citrus, wheat, light finish, good. jflopsu (1804) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 22, 2016
Pours a clear light gold. A strong grain aroma. A grainy taste with some citrus, wheat, and spices. A lingering dry wheat taste. malvrich (352) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2016 Can from mail order from France44.com.
Date stamped 9/22/2016 so evidently 4 months old.
A: Pale gold pour with a finger of tight white foam. Good retention. Busy bubbles and nice lacing.
S: Pils malt cracker scent. Mild grass or herb.
T: Tastes sort of pils-esque too. A floral hop note along with sour bread dough. Some bitter lemon pith in the finish.
M: Light crisp and refreshing. Short doughy finish.
O: Nice light session ale with more similarity to a hoppy pils than a SIPA. Worth trying. KansaiBeerLvrs (5375) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 6, 2016
Can bought at the brewery during my trip to Denver.
Odell Loose Lead Session Ale 4.5%
A bright crystal clear gold with a fizzy white head. The aroma is quite an interesting mix of fruity (peach fuzz) and earthy minty pine. The flavor is similar but it’s joined by a dose of rustic breadiness. A pretty decent beer and I’ve gotta say I love Odell’s labels but this is the weakest of their beers I brought back to Japan. Just a buck fifty though so no biggy.
