Clear dark black colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, light vanilla, light coconut peel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet chocolate, wood, smoked salt notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. 
Keg at Earl of Essex, London. It pours black with just a thin layer of brown creamy bubbles. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and ash. Sweet lactose burnt sugar, dark caramel in there as well. Taste is sweet and a tad acidic with roasted malts, burnt coffee, ash, and a lactose sweetness that balances the roast. Very solid brew. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 16, 2012

Of Essex, London. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is raisins, some fruits, mild syrup along with vanilla and some roasted notes. Flavour is rather much the same, but also has some slight mashlike notes as well.

Pour on tap at Odell Small Batch Festival 2012, dark brownish black pour with creamy tan head. Aroma has notes of big milk chocolate, coffee, bready caramel, toffee and molasses, some roast and more chocolate notes, big and sweet. Taste is pretty nice, nice biscuit and bread going right into chocolate, coffee, toffee, hints of roast and finishing fairly sweet but dry. Tasty.

@ 2012 Small batch fest. Clear dark brownish black with a creamy beige head. Outstanding aroma of sweet milk chocolate, a charming note of fresh brewed coffee, and the milk that’s left over after a bowl of cocoa puffs. Flavor is much the same, sweet and milk chocolaty, some roasted coffee, and a gentle creaminess that’s balancing the roastiness while complimenting the sweetness. UPDATED: MAY 27, 2012 Tap @ Odell. Deep brown appearance with a creamy, dark brown head. Cocoa, nutty, vanilla in the nose that kind of smells like a specialty coffee creamer. Creamy, roasty coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla, nutty flavor. Sweet dessert beer that’s pretty tasty.
