pours a deep mahogony with an off white head. aroma is hoppy, but seems a lil stale. taste is very hoppy and malty, pretty good, but not very memorable really. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Sampled in the big bottle. Pours deep brown, bit cloudy. Head on it was pretty thick. Overall this beer disappointed a bit for what I had expected after aging for 8 months. Very malty, not much from the hops that they included. Good brew, but had really high expectations. BuckeyeBoy (8293) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 14, 2010
Bottle 2009 Brought back from Fort Collins from my buddy Dale aka Tevis. Pours out deep amber topped with a tan head. Aroma was of floral hops, sweet malts, caramel, and some earth tones. Taste more of the sweet caramel and rich malts. A good hop bitterness to round out the sweetness. Not to bad. soyorganic (307) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 5, 2010
Really enjoyed this beer. Nice hop taste with a slightly sweet malt back bone. The aftertaste is more malty than hoppy. Good stuff! TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JUL 5, 2010
Pours a hazy deep brownish amber with a bubbyl creamy off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, caramel and citrus hops. Flavor of great citrus quality, toasted malt, caramel and nuts. Very tropical fruity.

Mahogony pour with lasting white head. Floral hops, earthy, sweet malt aroma. Well balanced. Citrus finish. rking (100) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 29, 2010
To me, this was a big, hoppy, American brown ale. Very nice, I really enjoyed it with the earthy hops balancing out the toffee, caramel sweetness of the malt. Very good Rockcrawler (197) - Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA - MAY 16, 2010
750 ml. Pours a deep red mahogany color with big solid off white head. Aroma is heavily hoppy and heavily malty at the same time with notes of resin, grapefruit, floral, caramel, slight citrus, slight pine, raisins, slight coffee, and dates. Wow! As it begins to warm up a little the hops come out and the amazingly balanced character becomes apparent. Slowly as the smell of hops subsides its balance on the taste end really starts to step up. Taste is balanced but incredibly intense on both fronts. A smooth bitterness kicks in quickly turning to a bittersweet bliss. Palate is FULL bodied but oddly enough quite easy to put down though this is definitely a beer for sipping. Finishes with the same bittersweet sensation it began with. Bravo Odell.... Love it.... Tap at Odell’s. Pours clear brown with an average, creamy light tan head, lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, chocolate, roasted barley), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine), light yeast with notes of alcohol, raisin, dates, and toffee. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness and bitterness, light acidity. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Sampled at the brewery. Clear dark amber, thin white head. Aroma of toffee, raisin, cinnamon, rum. Taste is dark fruit, alcohol, caramel, citrus. Medium body, lively carbonation.
