This beer is delicious. Buying beer out at a bar, which I do too often, continuously reminds me that although my strangely functioning human brain considers a thirteen dollar pitcher a good deal, I should be shelling out ten bucks for a four pack of something like this brew. The aroma is intense, which is a quality I prefer in IPAs. It smells like a Wisconsin pine forrest. Awesome. The beer looks like a good beer should, which is one of these rating qualities Ive never really understood. Fine. Tastes delicious. Well balanced between the hops and the malts, which is my own personal number one requirement for a decent ipa. Also high alcohol but I cant taste it. Wonderful. Palate is slightly intense on the carbonation front, but that is a personal quibble that I can let go of I this case. YUM.

Pours golden orange with a fluffy head which soon settles. Aroma is all kinds of tropical fruit like orange, pinapple and passion fruit. There is also pine and resin along with a smooth caramel note. Although very sweet tasting it is perfectly offset by the bitterness of the hops and has a fluffy yet oily texture in the mouth. This really is a classic double IPA. Fantastic beer!

Bright citrus and floral aroma, pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Slightly sweet beginning, with tropical fruit notes. This fades to a slightly astringent bitter finish, with the alcohol well hidden. Slick mouthfeel, and full bodied. A very solid IIPA.

Clear amber color with 3 fingers off white head. Explosion of hops at nose (grapefruit, orange, tangerine, orange peel), tropical fruits (mango, papaya, pineapple) and a slight caramel note from the malts. In the mouth, it starts with a huge malty backbone, then some fruitiness and a very long hoppy finish together with a nice warmth from the alcohol. Bold, creamy, full body, somehow oily texture. Overall a great great DIPA!

Minnesota Trip Beer #104. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Hennepin, 5/9/16. Clear copper, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of citrus hops and toasted malt. The taste is tropical fruits, citrus, pale malt. Kinda like Juicy Fruit gum. Medium bodied, very fruity and well balanced.

Lightly hazed golden color with a moderate, off-white head. Orange and lemon zest, along with a hint of pine and pale malt. Flavors remind me of wild flowers and weeds in the early spring blooming. Slightly over ripe oranges and zest join in. Finish returns with some floral blooms. Not real clean. 1/11

Tap at Fresh Craft. Pale gold, clear, with a fine head. Nose of pine, biscuit, grapefruit, rather clean. Sweet malt flavor, grapefruit and oranges, pine. A bit heavy and oily, full body. Decent.

Can - have had my times in a bottle by now its in a can. If pours a clear golden amber color with a med off white that dissipates and laces well. Bold aroma full of intense hop aroma of citrus, pine, grass and a hearty caramel malt. Big flavorful hop bouquet, sweet malt and a little booze. Yum, big, intense and highly recommended.

Bottle, Beers of Europe. Light golden colour. Big and sticky, resinous, lots of tropical and citrusy hop flavours and a nice bitter finish. Drinks nicely for abv, although still clearly a big beer.

Never had a beer like this flavor reminds me of the smell of a bicycle shop. Strange? Yes. But that is where I was taken. The chain oil fresh plastic and leather seat and fresh machined smell. Unique. Leaves a unique tropical fruit less citrus on your tongue. Papaya pulp. Nice mouthfeel. Fix the aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
