Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. Nice aroma of tropical fruit and funk. Flavors were similar with the pineapple coming through. Not too sour. Medium palate with a dry finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
An okay pineapple beer. More fruity than sour. The sweetness isn’t all together balanced either. Pours light, finished slick on the tongue. Tried at the Omaha Extreme Beerfest in 2017.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL., and dispensed to a snifter displaying a clear & bright, orangey gold color, with a modest but fleeting layer of soft white foam, thin film, and light spots of lacing. The nose was ripe pineapple, slight earthiness & funk, a hint of tomato skin, and subtle sweetness, followed by some tartness & tanginess. Light to medium bodied, with a bit of complementary spritz to the effervescence, the taste was somewhat similar, retained the touch of sweetness and the nearly sour quality, and finished dry. Decent, but didn’t get the bright & juicy pineapple that I was hoping for.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
First batch about 18 months old. Bottle says 6.5%. Massive ripe pineapple nose leaps out of the bottle on opening, then some light funk, tropical fruit brett elements as it warms. Taste is lightly sour. Flavors of pineapple, light lemon. Really clean and balanced.

Pours hazy yellowish orange with a small white head. Smells tart and tangy. Taste is tart and fruity. Medium-bodied with a sharp texture and average mouth-carbonation, Odell Piña Agria finishes with a lingering sharp acidity.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle poured into a tulip: Bright golden yellow with about an inch of fairly quickly disputing bright white foam, leaving slight lace. Nice funky, sour aroma, all the labeled suspects: brett, lacto, pineapple. The flavor is tart, acidic, fruity, delicious. Crisp carbonation and medium mouthfeel, a nice balance of slick and creamy. It holds up pretty well as it warms.

Bottle in Pivni, York shared with Pix. Bright blond with a thin white head. The aroma has hay, brett and light pineapple. The taste is sour with lots of brett, pineapple and light spice. Very tart. Nicely refreshing. Great.
