Aroma of sweet malt, stone fruit, a light hint of cherry, slight citrus. Appearance is a brilliant clear red copper color. Similar to aroma, tastes of slight caramel malt, and subtle cherry and citrus. Medium body with moderate carbonation. This is a beautiful beer! In the era of Arrogant Bastard and other red ales featuring aggressive Northwestern American hops, Runoff Red is a bit surprising. Appearance is what you’d expect with a ruby-amber shade and creamy suds. Aroma is balanced equally between toasted malt and piney hops. At the start, there are hop notes of berry and orange. The balance then reverses mid-palate and caramelly malt takes over with hints of chocolate. It’s certainly a change of pace from the other American Strong Ales/Red IPA’s... whatever the hell you want to call them. Runoff Red an approachable and beautifully balanced ale to mark the ending stages of winter. skazhy (8) - LATVIA - JAN 16, 2016 does not count
Bottled. Dark red in color, bit too syrupy, but a nice bittersweet finish. A decent IPA. Sammy (12205) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2016

Backlog from lost & found notes: Aroma of hops, straw, some wood, pine. Taste is sweeter pineapple, fruits and caramel leeting into hoppy bitterness. weordie (1184) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2015
Pours copper with a good white foamy head with a tint of orange. Aroma of citrus fruits like orange, mandarin and some papaya with a hint of pine. Taste has a brief tinned tropical fruits touch, woody middle and a nice bitter finish. Excellent. tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2015
Bottle, thanks to Clayton!

Originally rated on 3/2/15. Pours a nice dark reddish/ copper hue with a tan head that receded quickly but is leaving some thick but patchy lace. Mostly citrus hops that hit you at first smell. Flavor is caramel, grapefruit, and blood orange hints here. Finish is incredibly smooth, not too bitter. Overall a nice IPA, red or otherwise. MayumiH (1214) - - JUN 18, 2015
Bottle at home. Fruity, berry taste. Sweet syrup on the nose. Bittersweet finish.
