COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This time of year in the Rockies, one day can span all four seasons. Morning snow gives way to afternoon sun, sending fresh snowmelt into our rivers and into our mash tun. With a complex malt backbone dry hopped for notes of citrus and pine, its almost as surprising as the season itself.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep ruby color with a small head. Aroma is unmistakably hoppy. (If my eyes had been closed, I wouldve thought I was about to drink a pale ale.) Initial hop bite, but the caramel flavors of the malt arent lost here. The finish is a bit thin for my tastes, but overall, I do like what Odell has done with this beer. By showcasing the best qualities of a red alenamely, the substantial maltand adding enough hops to make it interesting, Odell has elevated a style thats often considered too bland by many beer drinkers. Guess Id better take advantage of this while I can, as this seasonal is only around until April, and then my search resumes for another red thats as good as this.

Bottle thanks to Drake. Deep amber pour with a small head. Nose is pretty rich toffee and caramelized fruits. Burnt brown sugar. Toasted bread. Flavor is sort of flabby and sweet. Caramel-dipped cantaloupe. Sweet grain. Mild peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium body, oily. Soft carb.

Aroma is malts, spices, a hint of sugar and very dank notes. The flavor is spices, slight vegetables, slight sweetness, grapefruit, malts and a mix of bitter and slight heat in the finish.

Pretty red, dark. Good head, diminishes quick surprisingly. Aroma is malty, kinda nutty, fresh, and light hop of which I cant detect much. Floral, mild. Maybe soapy. Taste is good for red ipa, its very smooth with a nice malt complexity, hops are different- not really hoppy and at the same time I dont know what is going on here between malts and hops, so I guess its refined and complex, soft and creamy,no sharp or harsh malt, not overyly sweet but just enough.
