COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Common to the high elevations of the Rocky Mountains, Sunny Rain is the unexpected shower from a cloudless sky. In that juxtaposition, we found inspiration. For this limited release, we introduced bright hop aroma to balance a tart citrus-like character. It’s as unlikely as rain on a clear summer day and it makes for a surprising, yet very drinkable beer.

On tap at Pinthouse Pizza Burnet. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus and wheat. Medium body, lemon zest, wheat, light finish, good.

Tap at the taproom. Clear bright yellow pour with a tight white head. Lightly sour citrus, easy drinking. Pretty good.

355ml can. Goldne pour. Not quite a sour, more tart, citrusy, light hoppy, wouldn't peg it as a goldne ale, but also not sure what this is.

Odell's Sunny Rain is basically just a light-bodied Blonde Ale with more hops, but I'm a simple creature and it works for me. Straw gold color. Aroma is malty with some mild citrus. It tastes like grainy malt (bread), grass, wet pine, and lemony hops. Hoppier than most Blondes, but it's still mellow. As its name implies, it is both bright and refreshing.

12 oz can. Aroma is lemony, minerals, lacto. Pours pale slightly hazy golden with a diminishing white head. Taste is tart (6/10), lemony, lightly acidic. Feels like a wheat beer, although there's no mention of that. Seems like it should be in the sour/wild ale category rather than golden/blond. It would be a great intro to sour beers for someone new to that style.

Can poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, grassiness, citrus and light pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit and orange zest with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering citrus finish.

Can/Fest. A- Citrus, pine, grassy. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Pine, citrus. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- I thought this was going to be a sour, but apparently a "tart" beer translates into a golden ale, however it drank like a pale ale. Meh.

Golden pour with smaller white head. Nose of fresh cut grass and touch of lemon. Flavor the same with hints of grain and bitterness of fresh hops. Very clean finish.
