near black with a swamp like head. caramel, molasses slightly smokey nose. smoke flavor with a strong maltyness. not bad, a good meal beer.

Body is dark brown.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, nuts, caramel), lightly hoppy (apricot), with a note of bubblegum.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Fairly straightforward brown ale.
