"had this over the weekend at a birthday party. quite overpriced (i think it was near $25 way back when) but I loved the quite obvious oak influence on this beer. a well made deeply fruity and slightly spicy quad, mellowed and softened by the oak, with a pronounced oak and vanilla character. Bottle..Pour is dark black with no head a bubbles..Nose is raisins, durdz turds, oak, vanilla, brown sugar..Taste is brown sugar, spice, molasses, vanilla, no carbonation..

Tasted in summer 2012 with the Nashville crew. Pours cloudy burnt orange with a thick off-white head that leaves smooth lace. The nose is toasty bread with some green hops bitterness, along with oak aromas of vanilla and coconut. The flavor is lightly sweet, nicely bitter, and has the same oaky and malty sweetness from the nose. The body is full with average carbonation and a long, toasty and bitter finish.
Bottle:   Darker shade of caramel, thin sudsy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Oak, caramel, and candied citrus peel on the nose.   Fresh cut oak on the tongue, minor caramel, faint citrus peel and pith on the tongue.   Hard to believe this is 11.3%.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft woody finish, pale caramel, a little musty, pale Oak lingers.   Not a big Quad, without a lot of the dark pitted fruit, more woody than most.   More woody, less dark pitted fruit, but hides the 11.3% ABV oh so well.   Seems like a signature American Quad example. crajun (1243) - , Texas, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Love this brewery. Didn’t like this beer. Nice aroma of dark fruit and slight vanilla. Med thick palate. No carbonation. Waaay toooo sweet. Not sure how this is a quad?? Is this beer

This quad was fantastic, thanks for the share OmegaX!!! The pour was an oily, almost flat body with a deep, cloudy orange color. Aromas were full of Clove, raisins, cherries, oak, vanilla and yeast. The taste was smooth and fruity; lots of tropical notes with a balancing Belgian-yeast sweetness. Finished with some tannin and soft oak, overall pretty damn complex and delicious. Thanks again, Peter! Nose is big vanilla, dark fruits, light yeast, candy, prunes, cherries, oak. Wow. Pour is hazy dark brown. Not much of a head at all. Flavor is big time vanilla with dark fruits such a plums and prunes, cherries, currants. Semi-sweet and very malty. Very nice.
