Clear amber color/ lasting foam. Big ass tropical fruit, oak, caramel aromas. medium bodied. Nice dry caramel, dry wood, grapefruit flavors--barrel aged ipa--gotta love it. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2011
sampled during the 2011 RBWG weekend on tap at AZWine, pours bright hazy orange with a pilowy white head. Aroma is huge citrus, tangelos, fresh orange juice, sweet clemontines. Flavor is much the same, hay and pale grains with huge citrus notes both sweet and bitter. Stunning. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - MAR 22, 2011
On tap @ AZ Wine during RBWG 2011 - Pours a hazy amber color with a good size white head that lasted to the end. Which didn’t take long. Nice lacing. Aroma is big time citrus. Mostly tangerine with a hint of wood. Flavor is the same. The finish is so smooth. No astringent aftertaste at all. Medium body. This was probably my favorite beer the whole RBWG weekend. Just awesome! Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 9, 2011
Draft at RBWG 2011 at AZ Wines & Spirits. Pours hazy gold, thick off-white head, great lacing. Nose is creamy grapefruit and oak, fresh orange ring, some woody vanilla. Flavours of grapefruit, navel oranges, earth, vanilla, oak, spice. Initially had this pegged at a 3.7, but this one grows on you. Worth the 30 minutes to explore properly... Sure. This pours a hazed orang-ish yellow. The nose was a shockingly sour grapefruit juice punch in the nose as well some dry slaps of mandarin orange to the cheek. A lot of dry mandarin orange notes in the flavors as well with some oak riding along for shits & gigs. Enjoyable stuff.

Appearance: Hazy golden with a big white head and great lacing
Aroma: Fruit, citrus, fresh oranges
Taste: Fruit, orange and oak
On tap at the nice party at Arizona Wine. Pours a cloudy brown color with a medium white head. A rich bursting nose of fruit- marmalade for sure-, some oak. The flavor is a earthy sweet fruity concoction, vanilla, woody, not a aggressive hot seemingly more fruity than the regular IPA, easygoing. Everyone was digging this. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 1, 2011
On tap @ AZWine. Pour is hazy orange-amber with a white head. Aroma is big grapefruit showing distinct notes of pink and cocktail grapefruit. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, and a touch of earth. Someone called it perfectly when they said creamed grapefruit. Overall body is moderate, sticky, and finishes with some well balanced bitterness. bigbeersrule (113) - USA - FEB 23, 2011
On tap. A blend of barrel aged IPA and new IPA according to Doug Odell who was at the tapping. Huge grapefruit aroma. Flavor was that of citrus and wood, not overly bitter, very well balanced. Nice creamy head. Well conditioned beer. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 22, 2011
Cloudy pinkish/orange pour. Sticky white head. Aroma of grapefruits. Flavor and texture of creamed grapefruit juice. Awesome.
