3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2013 Serving: from tap (tap handle read Odin’s Gift Nordic amber ale)--at Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante.
Aroma: moderate caramel malt.
Appearance: very small, frothy, off-white, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-red/light-brown body.
Taste: lightly bitter, malty initial taste and lightly bitter finish with hints of roasted malt and smoke. Average duration.
Palate: medium-to full bodied with oily texture and soft-to-lively carbonation.
Overall: good, easy to drink, nothing not to like, but not really outstanding.
On tap at Odin brewing. Pours out a crisp amber topped with a sand head. Nose is light grain some bread and a caramel sweetness. Taste is more of the light grain and a touch of caramel. djd07 (14369) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 23, 2016

Aroma is rich sweet malts, caramel, fig, and slight hickory. Taste is a fairly thick chewy chocolate, caramel and molasses. Appearance a clear dark amber with a medium fluffy head that retains very well. NeilinSeattle (32) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2016
The aroma teases but the body doesn’t quite deliver. Still a good example of an amber ale, currently one of the best in Seattle.

Sweet and malty. Very light on the juniper. The finish is a little metallic but still smooth. Pretty good overall. stevoj (4966) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 29, 2015
Growler from Albertsons. Seeing a wide variety of scores here, and I’ll go with the downside, average at best, with a flat metallic finish. Might be closer to a brown ale than an amber, but that wouldn’t improve any scores.... MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 17, 2015
Yech. This had a bitter and absolutely unappealing taste. Heavy malts and syrup with some burnt notes and berries. newtabularasa (2) - - OCT 6, 2015 does not count
Complex, delicious, no off flavors at all. Good mouthfeel, I kept taking extra ’tastes’ because it was soo good. One of my favorites! brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 27, 2015
On tap @ Odin Tap Room. Dark amber colored beer with off-white foam. Lots of caramel malt and herbal qualities. A touch of roast, dark cocoa, and toasted bread. Some leafy floral and earthy hop character as well. Light bitterness to the flavor. Sort of a cereal sweetness as it sits for a bit.
