Alengrin (5382) - BELGIUM - JUN 27, 2016
Draught at Arendsnest. Creamy, regular, ’membranous’ lacing, egg-white head, hazy orangey peach blonde robe. Fresh orange juice in the nose, blood orange flesh, caramel, pink grapefruit peel, dry earth, biscuit, mango, passion fruit, papaja, sweet white wine. Crisp fruity onset, tropical mango and passion fruit impressions, yellow kiwi and light lemony sourishness, softish carbo, biscuity malt base getting accompanied by a soft, very aromatic hop character in the finish, lots of tangerine and mango aromas retronasally, but low in actual bitterness so that sweet malt juiciness continues; some brandy-like alcohol in the tail too, which is a bit too apparent for a 7% IPA. Soft, aromatic and pleasant, but I had better beers from Oedipus.

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ Arendsnest during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is sweet sugar, apricot & Turkish delight, overly sweet for the style but decent. Taste is weird, messy & not that stellar, weird paper, marihuana, white pepper, overly sugary & thin. Thin paper-like body. Pretty weak affair, Oedipus remain quality worthwhile & uneven.
