Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light chocolate, moderate yeasty, rubber notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a long duration, burnt, dark roasted, ash, earthy, nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish, slight herbal. Dark roasted and slight breadish into the finish. Dark roasted malty.

Opaque brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is semi dry, light and mildly crisp. Tangy dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and dark fruits. Light airy finish. Just another porter, stout whatever! But fine.

Bottle on the train home during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours black-brown with a rich, tan froth. The nose has lots of roast, burnt wood and dry chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor with notes of ash, earth, chocolate and burnt meat. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Nice and roasty on the finish with dry, chalky cocoa.
