COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In our effort to make a tripel a bit more exciting than most examples out there, we decided to spice it like a Thai dish. Lemongrass, Galangal root, coriander, orange peel and chilli pepper blend in with some exotic latehops in this tripel.

Bottle at Franks Bar, Nordwijk. Like a saison/witbier on steroids. The rise in this beer was quite dramatic, an appealing saison at start but with a big belgian thump packed with tingling spice. Corriander, chilli tingle. All in all, very interesting and yummy.

18/IV/17 - 33cl bottle from local Albert Heijn (Gent) @ American BBQ Guy Tasting (ElManana+1s place) - BB: 15/XI/18, bottled or brewed: 15/XI/16 (2017-454) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!

Pretty clear orange beer, small creamy aery irregular white head, little stable. Aroma: sweet, honey, almond, orange peel, bit sugary, spicy touch, overripe banana, minty touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet in the start, orange peel, some honey, lots of alcohol, chilli, spicy, some orange peel. Aftertaste: ripe banana, yeast, bit sweet, dry finish though. Very well done! You get all the ticks of a Belgian tripel, yet its so very different because of the spices, and theyre not overly done. Good job, guys!

Vague sourish aroma, lots of lemongrass. Vague sourish taste, lots of lemongrass. Woh, thanks Anna for waking me up, I dozed off there briefly. Pretty trashy mishmash of adjuncts, no beer detected. Drinkable, if you have no particular desire to drink a beer.

On tap @ Borefts 2016. This one has a clouded yellow golden looking body with a mild lacing quite white head. It smells quite different alright. Herbal and spiced up tea. Lots of fresh lime zest and peel. Lots of mandarin peel here also. Quite Thai indeed. It has a little mild spicy flavor, but its not hot or stingy at all. More lime fresh and herbal. Mild oily in the mouth and its just below average on the carbonation. Grassy and mild spicy. I was expecting a crazy tasting beer, but this is more mellow and well balanced. Hints of apples and perhaps fish sauce saltiness. A little astringent in the tail. Not bad. 24.09.2016

Flesje thuis gedronken. Roodachtig, tot geel bier. Heftig schuimend bij opening. In het glas echter valt het meteen dood. Aroma is zurig en een beetje fruitig. Smaak is fruitig en bitter. Nasmaak is wrang. Op het einde komt het hete van de chilipeper. Dit is geen goede combinatie met bier.

dark notes from Metenis! Nice spiced Tripel, maybe bit too much/boring chilli. Some floral and herbal kick, somewhat rubbery. Moderate sweetness with light bitterness

Notes from #Metenis event. Pale amber, bit hazy with small white head. Slight fruit aroma. Moderate bitterness, slight sour and sweet and even hint of umami. Medium chili notes, lasting also in the aftertaste.

Decent tripel. Initially I didnt pick out the Thai spices, but after a while the chilli was obvious and I got the coriander and galangal. Medium to full body.

A funky trippel, not really what I expected. Quite drinkable still, but I probably wouldnt buy it in a store.

Draught at Salud. Pours clear gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy Thai ginger, black pepper and biscuit malt with fruity esters. Flavor is spicy Thai ginger, black pepper, fruity pear esters, biscuit malt and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.
