In our effort to make a tripel a bit more exciting than most examples out there, we decided to spice it like a Thai dish. Lemongrass, Galangal root, coriander, orange peel and chilli pepper blend in with some exotic latehops in this tripel.

Bottle at Damian. Absolutely absurd BBD of 2 years since bottling date. And the beer is only something like halfway through, but brutally wasted. Merciless oxidation, completely ruined beer. Fuck, I would give better even to my enemies.

What’s Brewing 2016, day 2. Hazy golden body with amedium white head. Aroma of citric and spicy hops, belgian yeast, grain. Taste is spicy with a stinging alcohol note, long dry finish with a light boozy aftertaste.

Bottle from the Mitra in Gorinchem. The beer is hazy golden colored and has a small and stable white head with good carbonation. The aroma is light malty and fruity with notes of zest, lemon grass, orange and tropical fruits from the hops and very spicy with lots of ginger and light chilli notes and yeast. The taste is light sweet and medium to full bodied with fruity notes from the aroma and goes to bitter wit yeast, Ginger and some light burning chilli pepper. The finish is light dry and bitter with pepper and the ginger is also long noticable. Strange Tripel, but enjoyable.

Pours orange/amber with a white creamy head. Fruity aroma. Orange peel and spices. Taste is coriander forward with notes of lemongrass. No chili though. Too much happening too fast I think. Not really balanced.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium head. Fresh and spicy aroma with lots of zest. Sweetish taste with just a touch of sourness, but the chili provides a solid counterweight to the sweetness. Substantial chili heat on the palate. Strong, rich and fresh - excellent!

MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
My Bottom Line:
Lime-like aromatics scent this Tripel’s doughy yeast, clinging to the herbal hops till the end.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A tower of foam protects the cloudy pale amber.
-Herbs could pass for hops in this one. Everything’s harmonious on that level.
-Mouthfeel is frothy and comfy.
-Flavor clarity might be lacking somewhat.

On tap at Cut Throat, Amsterdam.

330ml Flasche. Dunkelorange mit leichter Trübung und kleiner Schaumkrone. Sehr würzig. Ordentlicher Körper. Leicht scharf. Interessant!

DutchMark (397) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 29, 2017
It is a triple.... Nothing subtle about this one. Quite heavy but not boozy. Sticky oily texture and full fruity aroma. Flavor is rich sweet fruits and bitter hops.
