AROMA: Grapefruit, lime, tropical, DMS-cooked vegetables, grainy, dough APPEARANCE: straw and hazy (a little bit for a Berliner) TASTE: Cooked vegetables, topical fruits, not as acidic as typical Berliner Palate: medium carbonation (again a little off style), medium-light body Overall: Nothing special IMO

Met Liedewij en Bram. Zoet zachig, daarna zuur. Erg fris zuurtje. Vrij scherp maar niet uit balans.

Pale, hazy, very brief fizzy head. Some wheatiness, tons of lacto sourness, lemon juice tartness. Crappy fake modern lacto-cube sour. Nah. Set Kraft to 11.

Bottle from AH. 30cl sample. The aroma has lemon, citrus, bit funk. Hazy, pale yellow coloured beer with a medium sized, white head. The taste is light-moderate sour, citric with lemon peel, some grainy malt. Very refreshing beer. Nice.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 24 Feb 2017) Hazy golden colour with dense, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of bread, lemon peel and grapefruit. Fruity, tart taste with lemon, grapefruit, bread, grass and a gentle citric bitterness. Medium body, dry. Fresh and tasty. Quite enjoyable.

Modern craft interpretation of Berliner Weisse, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Thinnish, egg-white, irregular, quickly breaking head over a misty straw blonde beer with ochre-ish hue. Aroma of moldy lemon peel, buttermilk, unripe starfruit, fresh cucumber, raw rhubarb, sourdough, old peaches, urine-like dank hops, sweat, pickled gherkins, gooseberries. Crisp onset, lively and sour from the start, lemon juice-like but nothing sharply puckering, yet still drying the whole palate; gooseberry, white grape and starfruit notes as well, with a very light sweetish core and crisp but adequate carbonation. Drying lactic tartness in the middle over a sourdough- and bready wheat-like basis, light gherkin and passionfruit hints in the end, soft bitterness but the American hops do provide a gentle and refined aromatic quality that fits in well. Very quenching and refreshing.

Bottle. Thx hermod! Pale yellow hazy. Funky berliner nose, some medicin, wheaty floury lime citrus lemony fruityness. Kinda refreshing nice nose actually. Light bodied, kinda easy, tasty, refreshing. Hermod says white currants, i agree. Nice fruity berliner. Nothing wrong here. Watery, but nuce.
