I like this beer more than the total score would suggest. Aroma isn’t too great, has that same tartness that is also in the taste, but in the taste it is a nice addition. This beer has a lot of flavor for something that only has 4% alcohol. The head is beautiful and uneven, the bottle is very pretty. Bottle from De Bierkoning. 75cl Bottle at UDRBM, thanks for hosting Vaisha! Black colour, brown head. Aroma is light tart, hard roasted/burnt malts, berries, cocoa beans. Flavour of hard roasted malts, a little acid sourness, light moccha, coffee, roast and bitter chocolate finish. Light-bodied, overcarbonated, and perhaps with an unintended light infection? dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2012
Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is chocolate, light smoky note, molasses and caramel. Flavour is dry roasty chocolate, some caramel. Full flavoured for the abv. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2012
Dark brown body, tan beige head. Dark chocolate, salty licorice, roasty. Roasted taste, sourness like raw chocolate beans. Light bodied but rich enough, especially for a 4% beer. Interesting sourness. Tasty and fun balance of roast and funk. Nice. But not sure if it’s supposed to be sour. (UDRBM) Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2012
Bottle at UDRBM. Brown to black pour, thick tan head. Aroma is spicy, roasty, some molasses and ash. Flavor is slightly sour, bitter roasted and spicy. Nice full body for the low ABV. A bit strange brew, but rather nice to drink.
