Bottle from Drinks & Gifts, batch 14017 bottled 20-1-2014, BB 20-1-2015, large sample, served in a tulip glass. Slight hazy golden color with lots of tiny debris floating around, small frothy off-white head. Aroma of peppery yeast, slight funky, bubblegum, citrussy hop, slight pineapple. Nice funky bitter taste, slight dry and sharpish in the alcohol. Strangely enough, hop doesnt seem to fuse well this time with the funky saison. Or maybe those 2 summer months extra cellaring were too much. I prefered the Columbus and Amarillo over this one. laiti (8468) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 14, 2014
25 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Batch #14017: bottled 20-1-2014, BBE 20-1-2015deanso (10128) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - JUL 8, 2014
Yeast particles floating around my glass after pour. Aroma is odd with fruit candy and some soapy apricot. Flavour has soapy apricot, grapefruit, gooseberry bush and funky yeasty tones typical to saisons. Also some peachy tones at the end of the glass. Dry and slightly leathery palate. Nicely hopped saison, a bit messy though. Perhaps due to the yeast particles? Also the hops feel a bit ’old’.

Bottle 250 ml at Tape, Arnhem. Into a snifter. ABV 7%
Golden bright orange colour on the body, thin line of white foam, with low retention, leaving minimal lacing on the glass.
Aroma of citrus, barnyard, light manure, yeast.
Taste is of citrus, flowery, with lemon peels, very bitter from the first sip.
Medium body, good carbonation with a bite at the end, very dry and tart on the palate.
Good beer even if at moments seems harsh and too bitter. bierkoning (13349) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 4, 2014
