Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a medium tanned head. Aroma is roasted malts, quite some coffee and a little bit of cherry which becomes more pronounced after a while. Taste has chocolate, quite some cherry, tart and a soft bitter finish. Medium body, medium to high carbo. Quite like the combination of the cherries and the malts in this beer, well made.

Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2013
Bottle: Served in a taster: Medium to bigger vast brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of chalk, malts, roast, roasted malts, light red fruit tints like cherry, some coffee, light wood roast.. Flavours are a crispy mix of yeast, cherry, hop fruits, roast, tart, cream, light coffee and light chocolate with some creamy spices and bitters. Aftertaste is bitter with coffee, chocolate, roast and a light cherry tartness. Low carbo, creamy watery mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. Bit thin, but a nice tart touch. Gets better with time.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A dense, two-finger, collapsing beige head sits over an unclear brown body. The aroma has raisins, some roasted malts and a light berryish sour touch. It’s medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with raisins, some vinegar hints, dark berries and a faint roasted touch. Pleasant carbonation, and a nice fruity and sourish finish. Overall, starts boring, but turns out to be a nice one. 140118

Bottle, 75 cl, from Samson. Shared with Bas. Dark beer with only 0.5cm of caramel colored head. Scent is cherries and cassis. Taste is strawberry jam, dark chocolate and cold coffee. Easily drinkable. Palate is that of wine with a tiny bit of fizz. Very nice beer, the fact that it only comes in big bottles is no problem, but I’m not sure if it’s worth a whopping 12,50 euro per bottle.
