0.5 l can, had it directly from it. Aroma of sweet malty flowers and some herbal hoppiness. Flavor quite similar to austrian marzens, malty, sweetish, pretty bland, but still pleasant and drinkable. Had medium carbonation with quite long industrial sweetish finish. Not bad, not good either. But...as Doggythedog said, we have more than enough pale lagers...and why not, we deserve it when we live in a country where people like "pale beer" not "dark beer". That’s our mass’ only classification. MarkoNm (2743) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - JUL 31, 2015
Clear golden color, topped with amedium foamy white head, quickly settling. Standard malty aroma, mild but still easily picked up. Taste starts slightly sweet and malty. Light body with medium bitterness in the end. Crisp, fresh feel to it. Drinkable lager. Shaney (2423) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - JUL 29, 2013

Not that it is a great beer but you can’t find much better than this in Baghdad.

Bottle. Average appearance. Aroma is damp and grainy. Taste is papery and thin. Too sharp carbonation. Saarlander (1686) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2007
Light yellow with a decent head, slightly malty, and sweet. Very easy drinking, but not anything good on the taste front, very watery, boring. estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - AUG 2, 2008
Bottle. Golden color with white head. Sweet aroma. Flavor is empty, something sweet, without aftertaste. rok1024 (1272) - Maribor, SLOVENIA - NOV 5, 2014
Pale clear golden appearance, medium head. Malty with medium low sweetness and bitterness. Average Pale Lager style beer. raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - FEB 2, 2007
Like I’ve noticed before, german mild’s (or gold’s, like they are here called) are more like the most popular lagers world wide. It’s not necessarily mild, it just doesn’t have the bitter bite of german pils. That’s also the case here, it’s not the tastiest of all lagers, but it still packs quite a lot. This ones on the sweet side, and it starts right from the nose. Medium carbonation and actually quite a full mouth feel. Like all oettingers, the head is almost non existent.
