Thin, disappearing head. bitter finish. alkaline water throughout--distinctive and crisp, but still not really worthy

I thought this would be terrible, but was pleased and pleasantly surprised. It is fairly one dimensional, but it is a simple crisp clean beer as a pilsner should be. It is very well priced in Australia compared to other domestic or international beer and they get it right by putting it in cans or brown bottles rather than green like some of the better known and marketed beers from overseas. Not a world beater, but pleasant on a hot day.

Had one imported to Hongkong and it was a disaster. Aroma was not that bad, mostly malty. But the taste was awful. Musty malt, very old hops extract. Almost non drinkable.

Beer straw color. The body is not tight, the palate is well expressed, but somewhat pale malt component and all of the same sulfur content. The aftertaste quickly fading solodovae tone somewhat coarse hop bitterness with the color of sulfur, as well as a slight acidity, which eventually increases.

Bottle 33cl. @local Lidl supermarket. Clear deep golden, small frothy white head, disappears quickly, almost no lacing; aroma malt, grain, light bread, hay; taste medium sweet and bitter, grainy; medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation, aftertaste sweetbitter, metallic; mediocre Pilsner.
