Bottle shared by bhensonb. This one was a gusher, but we saved most of it. There is an active light brown head and a leathery chocolate and treacle aroma. The flavor is dark fruit and dark molasses with a bit of chocolate and a lot of sour. May be infected, but still pretty good.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Poured a real gusher. Tho it stopped fairly quickly. Dark black with a fizzy dark tan head. Aroma is medicinal/leather/dark fruit. Med + body. Flavor is the aroma, followed by dark chocolate - tho not a lot. And it’s woody and tart/sour. Bourbon is present, but not prominent. Interesting. I say infection, but not a terrible result.

22 oz. bottle thanks to bu11zeye, thanks! Nose is tons of milk chocolate, lactose sugar and light oak. The flavor doesn’t show any barrel notes but the the right amount of chocolate and cream of the style. Almost a chocolate syrup texture. For the age of the bottle it’s really amazing that its still drinkable with such a low ABV.

Pours black and silky smooth. Smells like coconuts and fresh cut bread with chocolate. Creamy taste, very smooth with lots of heavy cream to balance out the roastiness. there was an interesting berry taste in here but other than that, well done.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark color stout with a semi-large light brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of light tart notes with vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is also a weird mix between light vanilla and bourbon with notes of roasted malt. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. There is something weird with this one with bizarre notes tart notes with the bourbon being not too well integrated.

22 oz. bottle from BA trade. Pours dark brown in color with a large creamy beige head. The aroma has a bit more tart fruitiness than expected. Lighter notes of roasted malt, cocoa and chocolate. The flavor is mildly roasted malts, cocoa, light bourbon with more tart fruitiness. A bit thinner than expected. Nice to try once.

Bomber from phaleslu - thanks, Peter! Not quite as viscous a pour as I’d anticipated, and there’s a rush of carbonation that suggests possible infection. Nose of very faint chocolate, a smidge of barrel, and - sure enough - some tartness. Mouthfeel is initially quite full but a bit oily and slick on the finish. Taste is mostly metallic and sour-ish, with sweet tones underneath but not enough so you can get a sense of the base beer. Doesn’t really come across like a cream stout, a chocolate stout, or much else besides tart gusher. Okay, I guess, if you forget what it’s supposed to be.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate aroma. Sweetish fruity roasted malty chocolate flavor with some weak acidic hints. Has a sweetish milk chocolate finish.

bottle at home 2009 bottle... deep dark black ... bubbly brown tan head ... light sourness ... big chocolate roast nose ... little tooo fizzy in body ... roast chocolate ... little toffee ... little blackcurrant ... big ovaltine malt ... just the barest bourbon hint ... just the right amount of bourbion id say ...hint of sourness in linger ... nice despite this ... but would prob be 4.2 without sourness
